The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

Yesterday, Nicalis announced that The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ would get a Launch Edition in North America, that includes two sheets of stickers and an alternate boxart:

You can pre-order the Launch Edition on Amazon.com [NB: affiliate link], though only in North America. But don’t forget that the Nintendo Switch is region-free, so you can import the North American version if there’s no physical release in your region.

Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker

Today, Square-Enix uploaded the very first trailer for Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker, which will be released on April 20th in Japan:

Tumbleseed

Last week, it was announced that Tumbleseed was coming to the Nintendo Switch. And today, Engadget published an interview with its creator: Greg Wohlwend, who also worked on several mobile games such as the popular Threees, for example.  In this interview, Greg Wohlwend explains how his new game, Tumbleseed, is reminiscent of NES games, how easy it was to start working with Nintendo, and more.

Here’s an excerpt:

TumbleSeed has a lot of the same values a Nintendo game has. It’s colorful and easy to get into. But it also has a lot of the things from the NES days, especially difficulty. We’ve spent a ton of energy on getting TumbleSeed to fit that combination of natural-to-learn mixed with challenging and fun, even after playing for two years. That’s how long we’ve been playing, and we still genuinely have fun with it.”

Tumbleseed (Switch – eShop) will be released this Spring in Europe and North America.

Hollow Knight

Today, Team Cherry published the latest Kickstarter update for the game, where they talk about various things related to the campaign itself. For starters, there’s the platform survey that went live: if you backed the game and want a Nintendo Switch download code or a refund, make sure to fill it as soon as possible.

The update also mentions the Add-ons (for the Kickstarter campaign), the digital rewards, but also the backer content and stretch goals. More specifically, the developers list all the content that will be available at launch:

  • The White Palace
  • 4 Additional Quests
  • All Stone Plaques
  • All Bug Spirits
  • All Warrior Ghosts
  • All NPCs
  • 1 (of 3) Backer Bosses
  • The Colosseum of Fools

The rest will come out at a later date, though everything will remain free for players who backed the game.

Hollow Knight (Switch – eShop) will be released in Spring in Europe and North America.
