Nintendo: list of million-sellers for Fiscal Year 2015-16, best-sellers

Along with its financial results for the Fiscal Year 2015-16, Nintendo also revealed its list of million-sellers for that very fiscal year. This allows us to see which games were the most popular, but also get actual sales data for those very games.

Fire Emblem FatesOn Nintendo 3DS, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer was the most popular title with over 3 million units sold worldwide. But there’s one game which really impressed with its sales: Fire Emblem Fates, which sold over 1.8 million units… and that’s not counting Europe, which will only get the game next month!

Some old games are still selling pretty well, such as Mario Kart 7 (over 1.3 million units sold), Animal Crossing: New Leaf (over 1 million units), and New Super Mario Bros. 2 (over 1 million units).

On Wii U, Splatoon was the best-seller with over 4.27 million units: since the Wii U has sold over 12 million worldwide, that means almost 1/3 of all Wii U owners have Splatoon! In fact, the game is selling so well that it might end up above Super Smash Brps. for Wii U (currently at 4.8 million units worldwide).
