Mighty No. 9: trailer and details for Ray (DLC)

Mighty No. 9Mighty No. 9 (finally) comes out in less than two weeks worldwide, and it turns out the developers still had things to reveal about the game. Today, the published a blog post about Ray: known as the Vermillion Destroyer, he’s also Beck’s rival. He will be included in all copies of the game at retail, as free DLC.

For those of you who are wondering, the DLC will include a brand new stage, complete with a boss battle again Ray. Once you’ve managed to beat him, you will be able to play the whole game with Ray, providing a radically different experience.

Finally, a quick note about the release date. As you already know, Mighty No. 9 comes out in Europe three days after North America and Japan. But it looks like Amazon.co.uk* has bumped up the release date to June 21st… but only for the PS4 version (Wii U, and even Xbox One versions are still June 24th). In other words: check out your local retailer to see if they’re not selling the game a few days early!

Mighty No. 9 (Wii U) comes out on June 21st in North America and Japan, and June 24th in Europe. The Nintendo 3DS version will follow at a later date.
