Mayhem Brawler – Ver. 2.2 (Witchcraft Update)

• Release date: May 24th 2023 (North America, Europe) / May 25th 2023 (Japan)
• Patch notes:

New Playable Character

• Alley Witch will put a spell on you.
• To unlock her you need to accept her offer in the Old Subway (Level 4 – B) section.

New Game Mode

• Boss Mayhem – Face all the bosses from the game, one after another, in a new scenario tailored especially for this occasion.

Features

• Animation added to Level Select screen.
• A “Controller Recommended” notice was added to the Main Menu when a controller isn’t detected

Balance

• Boss Nosferatu’s Peek-a-Boo attack now deals friendly damage.
• Werecroc, Weregator, and Werecaiman’s Roll attacks can now be interrupted by Throw Breakables or Enemies.
• Mejin Bruiser and Mejin Brute’s Body Slam attack can now be interrupted by Throw Breakables or Enemies.
• Boss Alley Witch’s Spectral Image summoning in phases two and three can no longer be interrupted by putting her into a Payback loop.
• Boss Butcher’s Harvester summoning in phase three can no longer be interrupted by putting him into a Payback loop.
• Boss Mindbender’s Mirror Image summoning in phase two can no longer be interrupted by putting her into a Payback loop.
• It is no longer possible to change direction without braking when dashing with the toggle.

Achievements

• 5 new achievements added

Bug Fixes

• The issue where characters take more damage than normal when attacking while in Bleed condition is fixed.
• Counterattacks sometimes not knocking down enemies in the Payback condition issue is fixed.

Mayhem Brawler – Ver. 2.1 (Wolfpack Update)

• Release date: February 21st 2022 (North America, Europe) / February 22nd 2022 (Japan)
• Patch notes:

New Playable Character

• She Wolf hungers for battle!
• Unlocked after the player accepts her help in the Altered Beast (Level 2 – A) section.
• With the arrival of She Wolf, the 4-Player mode will be available as well!

New Game Mode

• Level Select Mode is now available. The mode will feature only the previously completed sections, depending on the accomplished difficulty level.

Changes

• Arcade mode has been revamped. There will be no longer story-related elements, such as in-game dialogues or cutscenes in this mode. Additionally, there will be a visible time counter at the bottom left corner of the screen.
• Power Bar now has visual and auditory signals to let players know if they have enough energy or not.
• Breakable / Throwable objects can now deal damage to knocked down enemies.
• Various bug fixes
• Various balance changes

Mayhem Brawler – Ver. 2.0 (Air Supremacy Update)

• Release date: November 24th 2021 (North America, Europe, Japan)
• Patch notes:

AIR COMBO! MARVELOUS!

The most prominent of these new additions are “Air Combos” and “Air Special Attacks.” Characters will be able to perform unique airborne actions. These features will increase the players’ combo potential by performing stylish aerial attacks and finish off opponents with a devastating air special attack that burns a meter of the power bar.

 

IT’S JUGGLE TIME

It is time to punish those who threaten the officers of Stronghold with Payback! While blocking an incoming strike, pressing the attack button at the right time will execute a new counterattack and launch enemies in the air. Counters will open the door for juggling opponents or be the start of relentless air combos. Sweet revenge!

 

NO REST FOR THE WEARY

With new attacks to perform on the arsenal, there is only one thing left for combos to get even mightier; The OTG (Off the Ground) attacks. These actions will allow heroes to strike enemies even when they are knocked down and launch them in the air. This system will limit combo potential no more, making players the limit itself!

How to download updates for Mayhem Brawler for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Mayhem Brawler, you have three options:

• let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

• try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

• select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
