Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order announced for the Nintendo Switch

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Quite a few games were announced for the Nintendo Switch during the Game Awards 2018, including some rather unexpected ones… such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order! It’s developed by Koei-Tecmo (and more precisely Team Ninjga), and published by Nintendo as an exclusive.

Here’s the debut trailer:

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is the 3rd entry in the series, but also the first one in nearly a decade. In this one, fans will find many Super Heroes and Super Villains from across the Marvel Universe.

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order brings together Super Heroes and Super Villains from across the Marvel Universe to battle for the limitless power of the Infinity Gauntlet, one Stone at a time. This unprecedented team of characters must use their unique superpowers to defeat the mad cosmic tyrant Thanos and his ruthless warmasters, The Black Order.

It features an original story, with dozens of characters including the Avengers, the X-Men, and even the Guardians of the Galaxy. Gameplay-wise, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order offers the same action-RPG fun from the previous two entries, complete with co-op. That mode can be played with up to 4 players (with drop in), each player with a Joy-Con; in other words, with two pairs of Joy-Cons, 4 players can play at the same time on the same console!

If you’re playing on your own (or in multiplayer with multiple Nintendo Switch consoles), you will be able to select a “dynamic, zoomed-in heroic view”, which allows for a more immersive gameplay experience.

More details about Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will be announced at a later date, but in the mean time, here’s the first official screenshots:
