Maintenance for the Nintendo eShop scheduled for next week, will last 24h

This morning, Nintendo announced a massive maintenance period for the Nintendo eShop (as well as the Wii Shop Channel, and the DSi Shop): it should last a total of 24 hours, which is by far the longest planned maintenance for the service. As usual, Nintendo didn’t give any explanation about it (web eShop? IARC integration? Alien invasion?)

Unfortunately, we will have to wait until next week before finding out what this huge Nintendo eShop maintenance is for. In the mean time, make sure to buy and/or download any game/DLC/demo you want this week-end, before the start of the maintenance! Also, don’t forget that additional maintenance for Wii U / Nintendo 3DS games may be announced by Monday evening: this post will be updated if necessary.

Here’s the list of services impacted:

  • Wii U: Nintendo eShop
  • Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo eShop
  • Wii: Wii Shop Channel
  • Nintendo DS: Nintendo DSi Shop

This maintenance will take place on:

– Europe: November 2nd (4AM) to November 3rd (4AM)
– UK: November 2nd (3AM) to November 3rd (3AM)
– North America (EDT): November 1st (10PM) to November 2nd (10PM)
– North America (PDT): November 1st (7PM) to November 2nd (7PM)
– Japan: November 2nd (12PM) to November 3rd (12PM)
