The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Original Soundtrack album out on April 25th in Japan

It looks like this week is Original Soundtrack Album Release Announcement Week at Nintendo! After Xenoblade Chronicles 2 earlier this week, it’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s turn to get such an announcement.

Today, Nintendo announced that the Original Soundtrack album for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be released on April 25th in Japan, courtesy of Nippon Columbia.

Once again, several editions will be released:

Limited Edition (7 000 Yen + taxes)

  • Contents: 5CD + Play Button (a music player)
  • Special packaging with digipack, clear file
  • Play Button: comes pre-loaded with The Legend of Zelda: Field Music Collection CD (15 “Field” tracks from the Legend of Zelda series). You cannot add or replace songs on the player.

Regular Edition (5 000 Yen + taxes)

  • Contents: 5 CD

The album includes no less than 211 tracks, on 5CDs. There’s two bonus tracks: the one from the E3 2014 Trailer and the one from the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 Trailer, not found in the game. The album also includes various sound effects, as well as the music from the two DLC Packs. Finally, the usual booklet also includes a roundtable with the developers.
