This month, Splatoon 3 ranked #1 for the second month in a row with nearly 500 000 units sold… not a bad drop, considering the game launched in early September! It’s the 7th game on Nintendo Switch to reach the 3 million units milestone.

Publishers

Once again, Nintendo was the most successful publisher with over 750 000 units sold. A good chunk of those sales come from Splatoon 3. Next month, The Pokémon Company will be #1 thanks to the release of the highly-awaited Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

Bandai-Namco is #3 with 139 000 units sold, which come from titles such as Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher, Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, and Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits.

Hardware

The Nintendo Switch sold over 269 000 units in October, which is quite the drop from September sales. The main reason for that drop is the launch of Splatoon 3 last month, when Nintendo not only released a special model, but also shipped lots of units to retailers to meet demand. Unfortunately, shortages came back in full force in October, causing sales to drop.
