Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap

Today, DotEmu sent a press release to announce that Lizardcube’s Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap would be released on April 18th on all consoles, including the Nintendo Switch. They didn’t give a price, but they teased one last surprise for March 22nd… a demo on the Nintendo eShop, maybe?

RIME

Today, Tequila Works announced that RIME would be released on May 26th in Europe and North America… but not on the Nintendo Switch, which is getting it later (the exact date is still TBA). The game will cost $39.99 / €44.99 / £39.99, which is 10$/€/£ more than on other platforms. At least, there will be a retail release for this version of the game (something that was not guaranteed at first).

Nindies interview

Yesterday, GamesIndustry.biz published a lengthy interview about indies on the Nintendo Switch. It features quotes from Damon Baker (from Nintendo of America), but also several indies such as Brjann Sigurgeirsson (CEO of Image & Form), David Dino (Designer at Sumo Digital), Carl-Henrik Skarstedt (from Yacht Club Games), and Klaus Lyngeled (Zoink CEO and Creative Director), and Luke Burtis (Co-Founder of Tiny Build).

It doesn’t reveal anything that wasn’t previously known, but it does give us a better insight into Nintendo’s current strategiy with indies on the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo Switch, and makes for a pretty interesting read. As you can see for yourself by clicking here, Nintendo has been treating indies pretty well so far!

Blaster Master Zero

Here’s the second character profile for Blaster Master Zero, which is for Fred:

Blaser Master Zero (Switch, 3DS – eShop) comes out on March 9th in Europe and North America.
