  • Patch notes:
  • The attributes of ingredients are now displayed at the edge of the screen.
  • You can now change the attributes of ingredients you have set yourself.
  • Increased drop rates for R amulets in later parts of the game.
  • Fixed an issue where only octopus balls could be selected on the ingredients selection screen during the story.

Hodgepodge Hunch – Ver. 1.2.0

  • Release date: January 24th 2024 (North America) / January 25th 2024 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:
  • We have reduced the probability of the same person becoming the spy consecutively while playing in the same room.
  • Adjustments have been made to increase the likelihood of questions about charms appearing in the turnaround quiz.
  • Some of the questions in the high-difficulty turnaround quiz have been changed.
  • The quiz asking about ingredients put into the pot in specified rounds has been discontinued.
  • When acquiring ingredients through the secretary’s effect, adjustments have been made to acquire ingredients that increase the amount of information as much as possible.

  • Adjusted the timing of the intermediate spy quiz
  • Adjusted the probability of finding R amulets (R curses) before and after the intermediate spy quiz
  • Adjusted the probability of which reward you get when you answer correctly in the intermediate spy quiz
  • Changed the text of the rusty shovel
  • Quiz questions no longer target CPU clerks if the CPU is a spy
  • CPU spies no longer select only certain players for curses
  • CPU clerks are now less likely to curse informants the day after a dark pot and are more suspicious of other players who have been cursed
  • CPU clerks now place a higher value on having the same player as the other players when deciding who to vote for
  • CPU clerks now place a higher value on the most recently visited location when deciding where to vote
  • CPU clerks are less likely to collect amulets that are meaningless even if they have more than one

How to download updates for Hodgepodge Hunch for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Hodgepodge Hunch, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;


  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
