Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition announced for Nintendo Switch, possible retail release

Last week, Rockstar Games announced that the Grand Theft Auto series is about to make its long-awaited debut on Nintendo Switch. Later this year, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be released worldwide.

Here’s a teaser trailer:

As the name indicates, it’s a collection including the “classic” 3D GTA games, namely:

  • Grand Theft Auto 3
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Right now, we know next to nothing about the collection. All Rockstar Games were willing to share is that the games will feature various improvements such as:

  • graphical improvements
  • modern gameplay enhancements

They also promise that all three game will maintain the classic look and feel of the originals.

More details about Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will be shared in the near future, including the release date. According to retail sources, the collection is slated for a December 7th release, and will be available at retail for $59.99.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition (Switch) does not have a release date yet.
