FAST Racing Neo: first update available (Ver. 1.1), download size

Update

The first update for FAST Racing Neo is now available for download worldwide. It requires 124MB of free space on your Wii U or external HDD. To download it, you have two options:

  • let the Wii U do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated. You should have the latest version installed the next time you turn on your Wii U;
  • if you don’t, you can launch FAST Racing Neo from the Home Menu of your Wii U (not the Quick Start Menu), in order to trigger the download manually.

FAST Racing NeoFAST Racing Neo came out in December in Europe and North America, after several delays. And it’s not just the game which was delayed: the first update was too! But good news for players: the wait is almost over, as the update will be released next week in Europe, North America, and even Japan.

This update will bring FAST Racing Neo to Ver. 1.1, with some fixes and even new features. Here’s the list shared by Shin’en Multimedia with NintendoLife:

  • Online: Improved stability
  • Online: You can now choose a preferred speed league
  • Online: Player tags are now shown
  • Online: Player country flags are now shown
  • General: Mini Map for all tracks available while playing
  • General: Improved loading speed for many tracks (especially from external USB devices)

One of the reasons the update was delayed is because Shin’en Multimedia wanted a global launch. That way, everyone will get the update at the same time. Unfortunately, it’s not clear at what time exactly the update will be released, but there’s no doubt we will know that sometime next week.

In the mean time, here’s two screenshots, showcasing some of the improvements:
