[Europe/Oceania] Nintendo Switch Online: 2 extra months when buying a 12-month membership

It’s in September 2018 that Nintendo officially launched its Nintendo Switch Online membership service, which means that if you’ve stayed subscribed every year since then, you might be looking into renewing your subscription right about now.

If that’s the case (and/or if you’re simply looking for a sweet deal), and you live in Europe or Oceania, Nintendo has a special offer for you. Until September 30th (included), you can get 2 extra months (60 days to be precise) if you buy any 12-month membership.

This offer works for both the standard Nintendo Switch Online and the Expansion Pack subscriptions, including the Personal and Familial variants, though there are restrictions:

  • as mentioned above, it’s only for 12-month subscriptions; you won’t get any extra months with any other duration;
  • you need to buy/renew the subscription from either the Nintendo website, the My Nintendo Store, or directly via the Nintendo eShop. Subscriptions bought from third-party retailers or those included in console bundles won’t count (even if bought and redeemed before the end of September);
  • you need to make the purchase manually, as auto-renewals won’t count either (even if they take place in September);
  • and as always, the total duration of your membership cannot exceed 3 years.

The extra 2 months will be automatically added to your account within 48 hours of purchase, and will match the membership type you went with.
