Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete – Footage, more

Earlier today, Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete was once again showcased during the latest Dragon Quest XI Countdown Carnival event. We got to see the following…

During the livestream, Yuji Horii also announced that both versions of the game had finally gone gold, which means that development is now truly over (not counting any patches and possible additional content still being worked on).

He also shared details about the “restricted play” feature, that lets player set various restrictions when playing (for those looking for a challenge):

  • players can disable escaping from battles, which means the only way to end a battle is to either defeat all the enemies… or get defeated;
  • players can disable armour, which is certainly going to leave them really vulnerable.

Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete – Silvia

Some additional details about Silvia, a pretty versatile character. He can equip no less than three different types of weapons: one-handed swords, daggers, and whips. This allows him to adapt his fighting style to the situation. What’s more, he can also learn various spells and special skills to support his allies. He’s a character you can rely on for both attack and support!

Here’s some of the spells/skills he can use:

  • Whip of Love (Whip Special Skill)
  • Viper Fang (Dagger Special Skill)
  • Miracle Sword (One-handed sword Special Skill)
  • Killer Juggling (Special Skill)
  • Hustle Dance (Special Skill)
  • Oomph (Spell)

Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete – Bowgun Adventure

In the latest issue of Jump magazine, a feature known as “Bowgun Adventure” is introduced. Only found in the PlayStation 4 (and presumably Nintendo Switch version) of the game, it has you shoot down targets all around the world, using a bowgun. Naturally, there’s rewards for destroying those targets! To begin this “quest”, you need to talk to a specific NPC found in a certain town.

Finally, we have the Magic Slot: a bonus game triggered when getting all 7s on the slot machines.
