Dragon Quest VIII: new scan, details on the new scenario

Last week, we learned that Square-Enix was working on a Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII (which originally came out on the PlayStation 2). The game will feature various enchancements, including voice acting and a new scenario.

And today, thanks to a scan from V-Jump (coming out this Thursday in Japan), we have some details and two screenshots for this extra scenario. It will focus on Dhoulmagus (the jester), and will also be about the childhood of the game’s protagonist (who will not be voiced, even in this version). Apparently, Dhoulmagus will be the initial antagonist in this version of the game.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (3DS) will come out on August 27th in Japan.
