Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3: over 500 monsters, more details

Square-Enix revealed Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 back in July, but we still know next to nothing about it. The game was briefly mentioned during the major Dragon Quest press conference in July (when it was revealed that all monsters would be rideable this time around), but that’s pretty much it.

And this week, we’re finally getting some new details courtesy of Jump magazine. It reveals that the protagonist has lost his memory, and will go on a journey in order to get it back. During his travels, he will use a mysterious device called the Reactor, which has different functions. One of them allows him to scan and analyse monsters. Apparently, some towns have a slightly futuristic appearance, so this device will not feel out of place in the game.

Jump magazine also reveals that Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 will feature over 500 monsters, and they will all be rideable not only on land, but also in the air, and even in water. Apparently, there will be some areas that can only be reached by riding a monster. Finally, we get the confirmation that the game will have several competitive multiplayer modes.

Here’s the scan from Jump magazine:
