Dragon Quest: livestream recording, Dragon Quest VIII special message

Today, Square-Enix held a press conference for the Dragon Quest series, with many announcements. If you missed the livestream, there’s nothing to worry about: the whole thing is now available on YouTube (see the video below, after the break)!

Here’s all the announcements for Nintendo platforms:

– Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King – Special message (more details below)
– Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3: all monsters will be rideable
– Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete is coming to the Nintendo 3DS (and the NX, though not 100% confirmed for now)
– Dragon Quest X was “announced” the NX, and will get a free demo tomorrow in Japan

During the livestream, Square-Enix showed a special video message from Yuji Hori. The creator of the Dragon Quest series travelled all the way to the Czech Republic (Prague), and more precisely Bouzov, where the live action commercial(s) for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (for the Nintendo 3DS) was shot. Said commercial(s) will most likely be revealed sometime next month, as we get closer to the Japanese release (August 27th).

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (3DS) will come out on August 27th in Japan.
Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete (3DS) will come out next year in Japan.
