Dragon Quest Builders releasing on February 9th in Europe and North America

Last week, on the first day of the Jump Festa 2018, Square-Enix announced that the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest Builders would be released on March 1st. It does fit with the release window shared during the Nintendo Direct back in September: Spring (most Japanese publisher consider that month as part of Spring).

It’s a different story for the western release of the game, which has been set to… February 9th. That’s quite earlier than anticipated, as February isn’t really part of Spring. It’s also a full month before the Japanese release, which is rather unexpected. Unfortunately, we don’t really know why the game is releasing in the west first, considering we know nothing about the western release in the first place, just the release date.

This certainly makes us wonder about the demo version announced last week by Square-Enix, releasing in February in Japan. It’s highly like it will also be released in Europe and North America, but we don’t know when. It could be simultaneously with Japan, or it could be sometime in January.

While we wait for additional details about the western release of Dragon Quest Builders on Nintendo Switch, here’s some more screenshots for it:
