Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: Nintendo Switch version out this Fall in Japan, additional details

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was among the very first games announced for the Nintendo Switch, but it’s been a long time since we last heard anything about it. In fact, nothing at all was revealed following the initial reveal… But it looks like Bandai-Namco is finally ready to talk about the game some more!

The Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is featured in the latest issue of V-Jump magazine, and thanks to early leaks, we already know what’s in there. Unfortunately, there isn’t all that much, but we finally have a release window: this Fall for Japan. It’s likely that Europe and North America will get the game at the same time.

The Nintendo Switch version will be playable with up to 6 player in local multiplayer. If you have a friend, you will be able to share a Joy-Con with them, allowing you to play together without any extra controller. And as we expected, players will able to use the Joy-Cons to throw Kamehamehas at enemies, using motion controls.

Regarding content, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will include “Time Patrol”, the main story of the first game (though only for a limited time, it seems). Finally, Bandai-Namco will give a special code as an early purchase bonus, that unlocks all the characters from main story (in other words, more than 70 characters available right from the start).

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Switch) will be released this Fall in Japan, and later this year in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Releases page has been updated!
