Dragalia Lost: 3rd Raid Event, Resplendent Refrain (May 14th, Re-run)

The next event for Dragalia Lost is a re-run of a previous Raid Event called Resplendent Refrain. It will take place from May 14th to May 24th, with the period for redeeming rewards running until May 31st.

Here’s the story for this Raid Event:

Do you like songs? If so, you must come see us! I’m Elias of the Harmonia Choir, and we’ll sing many a song for you! But make it fast; I don’t know how much longer my voice will last…

And here’s the main characters/dragons feature in this event:

  • Lucretia

Called the songstress of the century, her ethereal voice captures the hearts of all who hear it. Her voice has earned her renown across the continent, but rumors whisper that she has an equal talent for the slaying of fiends.

  • Elias

A young boy from the Harmonia Choir. He boasts a heavenly voice, and expects the best from both himself and others when it comes to singing. He likes sweet things a great deal, but fears this makes him seem a bit childish.

  • Maritimus

A dragon who protects the Harmonia Choir. He has long lived in the town where they are based, where he is beloved by all. He enjoys being fashionable, and wears a bell the choir children gave him around his neck with pride.

Since this is a Raid Event, players will be able to team up in order to take down a giant boss. To be more precise, 4 players can team up, each bringing 4 adventurers each… that’s 16 adventurers at once! The Raid Boss for this event is called Sabnack (which is a Shadow-type boss).

This event will allow you to earn a 5 ★ Dragon, called Maritimus. There’s two ways to get it: via Blazon Summons, or as a event reward (using emblems earned by clearing quests, and taking down the Boss and Raid Boss).

Just like the previous Raid Events, you can also befriend a character: Elias. He appears in the story of the event, and if you earn enough points by clearing quests and taking down the Boss and Raid Boss, he will become your ally permanently! If you took part in the first run of this event, Elias will join your party with the same level and stats as before.

Finally, you can get a new Wyrmprint as reward: As The Snow Falls (Curse Res +20%, last Recovery II).

Check out the Summons page for more details about the Character, Wyrmprint, and Dragon you can earn via this event!

Finally, this event also features 3 songs made exclusively for it: “overture”, “blurry”, and “Kaede”.

Dragalia Lost: Resplendent Refrain – Changes from previous events

This re-run of the Resplendent Refrain Raid Event features a new difficulty level: Nightmare. It’s unlocked after a certain amount of time after completing Sabnock Clash EX. It requires the same amount of otherworld fragments and getherwings as Expert, and in fact, even the rewards are the same. However, clearing the Nightmare difficulty nets you a Grand Bouty: a special reward selected from a set of “amazing” rewards.

Also, the bronze and silver emblem rewards now contain items for upgrading light-attuned adventurers, and the gold emblem rewards now include insignias and tablets.

Dragalia Lost: Resplendent Refrain – How to play and Rewards/Summon details

Here’s details about the event:

The streets of a beautiful snowy town are filled with an equally lovely song. Following the music, the prince and his friends find the gifted Elias, a singer in a local choir. But Elia’s days are frought with worry — can anyone shine a light on the darkness in the poor boy’s heart?

A melody, pure and peaceful, echoes throughout a snow-bound town. Its source is the town’s well-known children’s choir, a beacon of innocence for this tight-knit community. Behind the scenes, however, the town’s adolescents slowly succumb to a dark presence… Will the Prince and friends be able to defeat the massive fiend Sabnock, who gains strength by absorbing the darkness in people’s hearts?

This event features a special character: Elias. He’s only available during the event, but by clearing quests and defeating the Boss and Raid Boss, you can increase your friendship level with him. Once it’s maxed out, you will be able to keep using him as an ally even after the event is over (he even comes with her own Adventurer Story)! Naturally, his level, stats, equipment, and position on your party will be maintained if you do unlock him. If you don’t, do keep in mind that any item used to upgrade his level or his Mana Circle, or to promote him, will not be returned.

There’s various story segments and Quests to clear before you can unlock the Boss battle. Once you’ve defeated the Boss battle, you can tackle the Raid Boss in the Raid Battle.

By beating bosses, you earn otherworld fragments: you can then use those to challenge the mighty Sabnack with your friend during a Raid Battle. During those, all 4 players bring 4 characters each, for a total of 16 characters in battle. There’s 4 difficulty levels: Beginner, Standard, Expert, and Nightmare.  If you’re hosting a room for a raid battle, or joining someone’s room, you will need otherworld fragments and getherwings. If you join someone’s room, you also need to be able to challenge the same difficulty as the host.

If you manage to clear a Raid Battle on Expert or Nightmare, you may get the chance to tackle an Extra Raid Battle: there’s no difficulty level, and once cleared, it simply disappears (however, if you fail to clear it, you can try again). You do not need to spend anything to take part in one, either as the host or as a guest (no stamina, getherwings, etc.). However, even if you want to join someone’s room, the Extra Raid Battle needs to have appeared for you in order to join.

Finally, there’s a difficulty level unlocked after clearing the Raid Battle on expert: Nightmare. It’s unlocked once a certain amount of time has passed after completing Sabnock Clash EX. It requires the same amount of otherworld fragments and getherwings as Expert, and in fact, even the rewards are the same. However, clearing the Nightmare difficulty nets you a Grand Bouty: a special reward selected from a set of “amazing” rewards.

There’s also the Blazon Summon: it requires peregrine blazons (obtained by clearing quests, boss battles and raid battles), and it allows you to earn big rewards, including an exclusive  Dragon! You can get a resettable dragon as reward: if you do, you can reset the summon content up to 5 times (after that, you have to accept the rewards).

Here’s the list of Emblems rewards (Bronze, Silver, and Gold):

And here’s the contents of the first Blazing Summon:

Finally, there’s two sets of Endeavours to clear: Daily and Limited. Check out this page for more details about them!

Some additional notes about the event:

  • during Raid Battles, certain skills and abilities only recover 1/4 of the usual amount of HP
  • you cannot use blazons, emblems, or otherworlds fragments obtained during this event in another event
  • you need to have cleared Ch. 2 / 2-1 on Normal in order to take part in the event and play in co-op

Make sure to keep an eye on the Events and Content Updates and Summons page for more details about all that’s happening in Dragalia Lost!
