Step outside and cast right off your dock – no crowds, just you and the water. Stock your pond your way, experiment with different fish, and create your perfect fishin’ spot.

• Added tips for unlocking other fishing spots in the map
• Added a new achievement to catch every size of every species
• Map can be viewed while out on the water
• Added the time of day to the biggest catch in the fish book (dawn/day/dusk/night)
• Camera returns to look at the angler when using the “above water” mode after casting far
• Controls screen layout improved for keyboard and gamepads
• Can press gamepad B (or equivalent) to close the tackle changer
• Idle mode no longer drives the snowmobile away without your furry companion

Fixes

• Fixed book not auto scrolling to the current location when using mouse
• Fixed some angler sorting issues when co-op ice fishing
• Idle mode now uses the topwater lure correctly
• Idle mode works much better when ice fishing (less getting stuck or timing out)

How to download updates for Cast n Chill on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2?

To download the updates for Cast n Chill, you have three options:

• let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

• try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

• select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
