[Brief] Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash – Another secret character revealed, screens

Mario Tennis Ultra SmashLast week, Nintendo revealed two secret characters for Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (but it looks like the company didn’t consider them spoilers): Bowser Jr. and Dry Bowser. And as we suspected, there was still more characters left to be revealed!

Today, Nintendo revealed another secret character, which is by far the most surprising (it’s not as left-field as Pink Gold Peach from Mario Kart 8, though!): the Green Sprixie Princess. For those who don’t know, it’s one of the seven Sprixie Princess kidnapped by Bowser in Super Mario 3D World. It’s certainly an interesting character to pick!

Here’s some screenshots for the Green Sprixie Princess, along with higher-quality screenshots for Toadette:

Finally, here’s a short trailer for the Green Sprixie Princess!

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Wii U) comes out on November 20th in Europe and North America, and later this year in Japan.

So it seems they did announce all the (known) characters a full two weeks in advance. If there’s any more they’ll be a complete surprise. We knew about four secret characters and when footage came out, all of the characters silhouettes were clearly visible on the roster, so it was pretty damn obvious who everyone ones.

Yeah, we already knew about Sprixie Princess as well.

It feels really odd how they announced everything so quickly after saying nothing for months. I really do hope there’s more content we don’t know about.

This was the one that I really wanted to see revealed. When they showed the silhouettes of secret characters, it was pretty obvious that one was a Sprixie, but I was still eager to actually see them in gameplay. Nice to see 3D World getting some love.
