Asphalt Legends – Ver. ???

  • Release date: December 2026
  • Patch notes:

MASTERY SYSTEM

Returning from last year’s Roadmap, the Mastery system aims to reward the collectors out there. The team will be trying to make time to bring this for the end of the year, but no promises on this one. It’s a big task and it could slip to 2027. And although we have heard many of you mention the Mastery system of A9’s China edition, the team won’t be bringing a replica of it, so although it might have the same core line of motivations behind it, Asphalt Legends’ Mastery system will be different. Just wanted to keep expectations in check.

At its core, the Mastery system will reward our most dedicated car collectors with permanent bonuses to their account and garage, based on how many car collections you’ve managed to complete.

NEW TRACK

And of course we couldn’t end the year without a brand new track for you to race on, and again, you’ll have to stay tuned for the location reveal!

Asphalt Legends – Ver. ???

  • Release date: October 2026
  • Patch notes:

NEW GAME MODE

The Asphalt Team has already started cooking up a new game mode for next year.

We’re close to finalizing the concept, but a lot of things can still change, so we’re not ready to share just yet.

Hopefully we can provide you with more updates along the way!

WELCOME BACK RETURNING LEGENDS

As you’ve seen, we have a couple of projects to help out new players, and we haven’t forgotten about our past legends!

For those of you who helped us forge Asphalt in the past, but who are currently taking a break, we also want to offer you a welcome back bonus to invite you back into the game and help you check out all the new stuff you missed.

Asphalt Legends – Ver. ???

  • Release date: July 2026
  • Patch notes:

PATH TO LEGENDS

The path to greatness is always the hardest one… but we can probably help you out in the Path to Legends.

We’re constantly looking for new ways to help introduce newer players into the game, as catching up to the current meta from scratch can be quite the challenge.

With Path to Legends, we hope to offer a quick catch-up path for our legends-in-the-making, by offering them a clear set of goals that will help them get into the groove of things and offer some rewards to help them get into the thick of things faster.

REFERRAL PROGRAM

Help us spread the word! Alongside the Path of Legends, we want to make it even easier for your friends to hop on to the game for a few races and check us out.

Through the Referral Program, your new friends will be able to get some juicy and helpful rewards to help them out on their first races, just by completing a few simple goals.

And if you want to activate recruiter mode, we’ll also be offering you rewards for each of your friends who is able to complete their list of goals.

NEW TRACK

Summer wouldn’t be the same without a brand new and exciting location to explore.

Asphalt Legends – Ver. ???

  • Release date: May 2026
  • Patch notes:

MULTIPLAYER REVAMP

The team has learned a lot from both the changes made last year to multiplayer, and all the feedback received from our players.

Although we’ve slotted this as a “May” update, this could be also considered a “full year project”, as there will still be balancing efforts made throughout. May however is our soft deadline to make sure our largest changes are in place.

The main goal behind our revamp is to ensure that multiplayer still offers a competitive challenge for those who seek it, while also offering a rewarding experience without having to sacrifice enjoying other events.

So, with that in mind, the team will be taking a full look at our current system, from milestones, to divisions, and even league reset timings.

Asphalt Legends – Ver. ???

  • Release date: April 2026
  • Patch notes:

COMMUNITY MILESTONES

In April we’ll be having fun with a new event based on Community Milestones.

The entire community will finally have the chance to work together towards unlocking community rewards for the entire community!

We’re still in the process of sharing ideas, and the team is committed to finally bringing Community Milestones into the game.

We also want to make things a bit more involved this time, instead of offering a single goal. So, expect some extra challenges thrown your way compared to our previous editions.

OTHER CHANGES

NEW MULTIPLAYER CHANGES

The team is introducing a few changes to the World League experience:

  • New Champion Tier: A new tier is being introduced between Platinum and Legend.
  • Less Sub-tiers: Sub-tiers for each rank will be reduced from 4 to 3 (i.e: Gold III, Gold II, Gold I)
  • Car filter Rotations: Tiers from Bronze to Platinum will have a fixed rotation, with new cars being updated into the filters regularly. Rotating Car Filters will now only happen in Champion and Legend Leagues and will update each sprint.
  • Reset Progression: After each reset, players who have made it to Gold League will be reset back to Gold League. You will only have to progress through Bronze and Silver once.
  • New Triumph Rewards: Triumph rewards have been updated and you’ll also now be able to unlock a free car and decal each tier when progressing from Bronze to Platinum. Reaching Platinum I will allow you to unlock the new Multiplayer Exclusive Car: The Mercedes-Benz C11!

We hope these changes will lessen the grind a bit when climbing and will make it feel more regularly rewarding.

OTHER CHANGES

MORE TRACKS FOR TEAM PURSUIT

You’ll now have more variety as you chase each other down, as we’re bringing the Paris, Osaka, Rome, Shanghai, Tuscany and Chicago tracks into the mix!

MULTIPLAYER UPDATE

We know we’re due a reset, but we’re slightly delaying it until our next update (April) as we plan to bring further changes during the update (stay tuned for more details).

However we are updating the Car Filters and Card Packs for these 2 seasons, so at least there will be something fresh until the big changes arrive.

EVO BALANCING

The Bugatti Chiron EVO options have received some tweaks this season.

The overall rank boost provided by EVO setups has been reduced, alongside a rebalance of archetypes. Light archetypes have been slightly nerfed, however Heavy and Overload setups have received boosts to comparatively improve their performance and make them more viable as a choice during races.

NINTENDO SWITCH UPDATE DELAY

For Nintendo Switch devices, the update will hit the track with a bit of delay.

We’re working pedal to the metal to bridge the gap and as it currently stands, we’re looking at the update being available between the 9th and the 16th.
Although we can’t confirm a date at this stage, we already have made plans to ensure our Nintendo fans don’t miss out:

  • Interim Calendar: While we wait for the update to become available, Switch players will still be able to continue to take part in any event that started in the previous season, such as the Unleashed and Jesko Absolut Special events alongside any TLEs or non-LP Exclusive Car hunts as originally planned.
We will also be giving them a headstart in our upcoming LOTUS ER-9 SE, which will start on the 3rd of February for all of our Switch players!
  • Delayed start and end to events: To ensure you don’t miss out on anything, we are delaying the start of (*)marked events and Showcase events until the update is available for Nintendo Switch devices. We will also be maintaining the duration of these events, so you can expect them to overlap alongside the events planned for next season on Switch. Unfortunately we can’t confirm the dates as they will be adapted depending on when we’re able to release the update.
  • Legend Pass: Will become available once more alongside the season start. Rewards will remain unchanged but we have removed a Chapter from the LP challenges to make it easier to complete in time.
  • Compensation: All Switch players will receive a compensation for their troubles! Amount will be confirmed alongside the final release date.
  • No MP1 Events: Unfortunately players will not be able to join in our first MP1 event, as it requires all players on the same update. We will be making MP2 and MP3 events available.
  • Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade: Once the update is available we will also be releasing a free* DLC for Nintendo Switch 2, unlocking the full power of the console and providing improved performance and graphics for the device!

How to download updates for Asphalt Legends on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2?

To download the updates for Asphalt Legends, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
