Arcade Archives Aero Fighters / Sonic Wings releasing this week on Nintendo Switch

Hamster has announced that the latest Arcade Archives release on Nintendo Switch is Aero Fighters (also known as Sonic Wings in Japan). It’s a vertically scrolling shooter originally developed by Video System and released on Arcade by Tecmo back in 1992 in Japan and by Mc O’River in the rest of the world the same year. On Nintendo Switch, it will launch on December 14th and it will cost 6.99€ / £6.29 / $7.99 / 838 Yen. The Japanese version will offer an English language option.

Here’s a trailer, some details, and some screenshots:

Major cities around the world are occupied by someone, and the United Nations desperately tries to put up a defense line, but there is nothing they can do in the face of the enemy’s overwhelming military power. However, eight warriors from all over the world stood up here. Each of them, of their own will, boarded a fighter jet and took to the skies for their own purposes.

Arcade Archives Aero Fighters / Sonic Wings (Switch – eShop) comes out on December 14th worldwide.
