Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Ver. 1.7.0: all you need to know (Goals, Gardening, more)

Today, Nintendo released a new Software update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, that brings it to Ver. 1.7.0. Via the in-game notification, even more details about it were shared, styarting with the Goals feature.

Now, the game automatically highlights recommended goals, most likely those you are close to clear. Also, the various requirements are now displayed more clearly, and if that’s not enough, you can check the Goal Guide to get hints about how to clear them. Finally, you can now receive additional prizes as you clear goals!

Next: easier Gardening. As mentioned previously, the tempo for garden controls and animated cutscene has been increased, in order to streamline the Gardening experience. Plus, the game now displays the remaining time you have to purchase or trade limited-time items.

This new update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp also includes some Quality of Life improvements. First, you can now increase the maximum amount of items (and more specifically bugs, fish, etc.) that you can carry, up to 500 to be precise. Unfortunately, there’s a catch: you need to spend some Leaf Tickets in order to purchase expansions!

Second, you can now talk to Lloid in order to have him explain Garden Events if you need. Finally, if you switch between menus or close the menu after changing your outfit, your new outfit will be automatically saved.

Of course, this update brings some bug fixes:

  • the issue causing the game to suddenly close when a fishing lure catches the attention of two fish shadows at the same time in Lost Lure Creek has been fixed
  • adjustments to the on-screen display has been made

Finally, one change not mentioned in the patch notes: the game now asks you if you want to close it when you return to the main menu of your smart device by pressing the back button. That way, no risk of losing progress!

A quick note for players who have linked their Twitter account: you may receive a request to “Authorize app” if you select either “Update Linked Application Info” or “Friends with Twitter icons”. Naturally, if this happens to you, you have to authorize the app again.

As usual, make sure to check out the Events and Content Updates page to keep up to date with all that’s happening in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
