Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer – Monster Hunter and 7-Eleven collaborations in Japan

Animal Crossing Happy Home DesignerToday, Nintendo announced not one, but two collaborations for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer in Japan. The first one is about the 7-Eleven stores (and may well be a Japan-exclusive): it runs from July 30th (9AM JST) to September 30th (8.59AM JST). It gives access to a “new” character called 7 Gou, and unlocks various 7-Eleven-themed decorations.

To get it, players will have to go to a 7-Eleven Store, and use the hotspot there. Once in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, they will have to go their desk at the Tom Nook Housing Company and connect to the hotspot.

As mentionned yesterday, new decorations are unlocked via the requests of the villagers, so it’s not surprising that these 7-Eleven decorations are unlocked that way too. Thanks to those, you will be able to make your very own 7-Eleven Store within Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer!

But that’s not all: there will also be a Monster Hunter collaboration, with another character (this time, one of the Felynes). This character will give access to various Monster Hunter-related decorations, and seems to be a tie-in with Monster Hunter Diary Poka-Poka Airou Village DX (coming out on September 10th in Japan).

Unfortunately, Nintendo didn’t say when and how the Monster Hunter character and decorations would be added. We also don’t know if this collaboration will make it to the west, but the Animal Crossing: New Leaf one in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate did, so there’s definitely room for hope!

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (3DS) and the first series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards will come out on July 30th in Japan, September 25th in North America and October 2nd in Europe.
