amiibo: second wave of Animal Crossing figures out on January 29th in Europe

Animal Crossing amiiboDuring the latest Nintendo Direct presentation (last month), Nintendo announced that the second wave of Animal Crossing amiibo would be released on January 22nd in North America. Unfortunately, we only got a vague “Q1 2016” for Europe, which could have meant any time between January 1st and March 31st.

Good news: European fans won’t have to wait too long after the North American release, as the second wave of Animal Crossing amiibo will be released on January 29th in Europe. The following figures will be available:

  • Resetti
  • Blathers
  • Celeste
  • Kicks

On the same day, Nintendo will release the Lucas amiibo in North America (it will be launched on December 17th in Japan, on the same day as Mother 3 on the Wii U Virtual Console).  Does that mean Europe will get it along with the second wave of Animal Crossing amiibo, on January 29th? We will definitely get a confirmation during the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U / 3DS broadcast!
