AI: The Somnium Files – New details and pictures (setting, characters, etc.)
Last week, AI: The Somnium Files was featured in Famitsu magazine in Japan, and today, Spike-Chunsoft sent a press release with some more details and pictures for the game and its characters.
As you already know if you checked out the release date announcement, the game has you play as Kaname Date, a detective from a special department of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. You have to investigate in order to find a serial-killer carrying their misdeeds in Tokyo. The game is divided in two parts: investigations taking part in the real world, and “somnium” parts where you explore a mysterious dream world.
Three characters are “revealed” today:
- Iris Sagan: a 18 year-old high-school girl, and a net idol. A really cheerfuly and bright girl, who is really curious about scary things. She’s become quite famous on the internet as A-set, a net idol. Her nickname is Tessa.
- Mizuki Okiura: a 12 year-old elementary school student. She lives with the protagonist, who happens to a friend of her father;
- Ota Matsushita: a 24 years-old NEET, who’s really into net idols. A huge fan of Iris. He’s got issues socializing. He aims to become a writer.
