Starsand Island – Ver. #05

[Additions & Optimizations]

Added the “Speedy / Easygoing” themed outfits, which may randomly appear in the Starsand Shop at the Community Center;
Added the Strait-Style Architecture Handbook, which may randomly appear in the Starsand Shop at the Community Center. Reading it unlocks a complete set of Strait-style building methods;
Fixed frequent crashes in certain scenarios and improved overall game stability;
Optimized the shop selling interface and added a bulk item selling function;

[Quests]

Fixed an issue in some save files where follow-up progression quests would disappear after completing the Become a Junior Angler! quest, preventing further progression;
Fixed an issue where Delphin’s 3-heart story quest could become abnormally paused and could not be progressed;
Fixed an issue in Lunelle’s 5-heart story quest where talking to Lunelle did not trigger material submission;
Fixed an issue where Lunelle’s 5-heart story quest could be abnormally terminated before completion;

[New & Optimized]

Added the otter Snowflake and the red panda Little Sis. They can be adopted once affection reaches 3 hearts.
Added new pet appearances for Little Sis, Octa, and Snowflake (14 total), available for purchase at Woof & Wow Pets.
Improved overall visual quality and reduced blurry visuals.
Implemented various performance optimizations to improve loading times, visual performance, and the responsiveness and smoothness of in-game controls.
Optimized the trigger timing of quest steps and fixed related existing issues.
Optimized frame rate performance in scenes with large numbers of robots and crops.
Optimized long-distance NPC movement when near the player or in tracking mode.
Optimized material guidance for the Soup Dumpling cooking objective in the Building Starsand Station quest.
Optimized mail list loading and Claim-All performance to reduce lag and claim failures when there are too many mails.

[Gameplay]

Fixed an issue where the backpack would occasionally fail to open promptly when using the shortcut key;
Fixed an issue where the banyan tree would reappear after loading a save file following its removal.
Fixed an issue where animal products were not automatically added to the inventory after maxing out the ranching skill Auto Attach.
Fixed an issue in The Lost Makeup quest where players could get stuck at the treasure map hunt step and be unable to obtain the treasure map.
Fixed an issue where the active state of automatic sprinklers was reset in some saves.
Fixed an issue where buildings in the festival scene did not display properly on the third day of the Beach Festival.

How to download updates for Starsand Island on Nintendo Switch 2?

To download the updates for Starsand Island, you have three options:

let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
