Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush – Limited-time events (#5: Ostrich Riches)

The DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC for Donkey Kong Bananza introduces a brand new game mode called Emerald Rush. In this mode, you get to tackle a series of fast-paced challenges in order to earn various rewards. It also offers limited-events, with exclusive statues to earn!

In this post, you will find all there is to know about those limited-time events: when they take place, the rewards you can earn, the rules, and more.

Note: you can tackle the challenge as many times as you want while an event is running!

Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush – Limited-time Event #5: Ostrich Riches

The 5th online event takes place on the following days:

  • Europe: February 17th 20th (9AM) to February 24th (8.59AM)
  • UK: February 17th (8AM) to February 24th (7.59AM)
  • North America (ET): February 17th (3AM) to February 24th (2.59AM)
  • North America (PT): February 17th (12AM) to February 23rd (11.59PM)
  • Japan: February 17th (5PM) to February 24th (4.59PM

  • Stage: Forest Layer
  • Rules/details:
    • the Skills you can get from Banandium Gems are fixed
    • the Perks you can get from Banandium Gems and fossils are also fixed (though you do get the usual selection of 3 Perks to choose from)

The second online event takes place on the following days:

  • North America (ET): November 25th (3AM) to December 2nd (2.59AM)

Here’s details about this event:

  • Stage: Hilltop Layer
  • Rules/details:
    • This challenge is all about Groove. All the Emerald Perks have ‘Groove’ in the name, such as Encore Groove (causes more emerald ore to appear based on the amount of time you spend in any Bananza form) and Turf Groove (causes more emerald ore to appear based on the distance you travel while Turf Surfing)
    • the Skills you can get from Banandium Gems are fixed
    • the Perks you can get from Banandium Gems and fossils are also fixed (though you do get the usual selection of 3 Perks to choose from)
    • the order of Void Goals is also fixed
  • Rewards: Lanky Kong Statue, Chunky Kong Statue

Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush – Limited-time Event #1: Chip Fever

The first online event takes place on the following days:

  • Europe: October 28th (10AM) to November 4th (8.59AM)
  • UK: October 28th (9AM) to November 4th (7.59AM)
  • North America (ET): October 28th (4AM) to November 4th (3.59AM)
  • North America (PT): October 28th (1AM) to November 4th (12.59AM)

Here’s details about this event:

  • Stage: DK Island
  • Rules/details:
    • This challenge is all about Emerald Chips. You can find the Chip Hoarder perk, which increases the amount of Emerald Ore you can get based from defeating enemies based on the number of chips you have, as well as the Magic Wallet perk, which increases the amount of Emerald Ore you can hold by 1.5
    • the Skills you can get from Banandium Gems are fixed
    • the Perks you can get from Banandium Gems and fossils are also fixed (though you do get the usual selection of 3 Perks to choose from)
    • the order of Void Goals is also fixed
  • Rewards: Kong Bananza Statue, Enguarde Statue
