Shuten Order: final trailer, more footage, soundtrack samples

Next week, Shuten Order will be released on Nintendo Switch. From the mind of Kazutaka Kodaka (creator of the Danganronpa series, Rain Code, and more), this title offers a unique spin on the mystery game formula by offering 5 routes each with their own, distinct gameplay.

And ahead of next week’s launch, DMM Games has shared the final trailer for the game:

Finally, some details about the music. Just like many of Kazutaka Kodaka’s other games, Shuten Order’s soundtrack was composed by the one and only Masafumi Takada.

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes a Mini Soundtrack album with 12 tracks from the game. Here’s two preview videos:

“Happy New End…Have a good end” “168 remaining until the end of the world…” Humanity is approaching its end. The murdered leader of a religious nation awakens, incompletely resurrected with amnesia… In order to be fully brought back to life, the protagonist must overcome “God’s trial”: identify and kill their murderer within the time limit. The protagonist, given the alias Rei, dives into the tumultuous city as a detective. The suspects? Five ministers of the Shuten Order. There’s no time to investigate them all. Choices must be made, and the pursuit of truth demands sacrifice.

Who killed the Founder? For what reason? Can the mission be fulfilled before time runs out? Thus begins a high-stakes, four-day hunt for the truth.

Five adventure games are combined into one, centered around a suspenseful story full of mystery and intrigue.

  • Solve a murder tied to the wealthy Kukuri family and expose the true killer linked to suspect Kishiru Inugami.
• Ministry of Health: Extreme Escape Adventure
  • Survive a death game alongside suspect Yugen Ushitora where wrong choices can lead directly to life-threatening situations.
• Ministry of Science: Multi-Perspective Novel
  • Navigate a deadly terrorist attack at a research lab while shifting between characters to avoid fatal outcomes, targeting suspect Teko Ion.
• Ministry of Education: Romance Adventure (?!)
  • After being poisoned, head to Shuten Academy and unmask three enigmatic girls, one of whom is suspect/poisoner Honoka Kokushikan.
• Ministry of Security: Stealth Action Horror
  • Flee from the legendary killer Nephilim while investigating suspect Manji Fushicho.

Shuten Order (Switch) comes out on September 5th worldwide.
