Nintendo Direct: Kirby Air Riders Direct announced for August 19th

After a Partner Direct late last month and an Indie World earlier this month, Nintendo is continuing its series of summer presentations with a brand new Nintendo Direct: a Kirby Air Riders Direct, to be precise.

This presentation will take place on August 19th, and will offer no less than 45 minutes of information about the game (which no doubt includes the release date). It will also offer our very first look at the game proper following the CGI trailer shared during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct back in June.

This Kirby Air Riders Direct will be hosted by Masahiro Sakurai himself, and will be livestreamed at the usual time:

  • Europe: 3PM
  • UK: 2PM
  • North America (ET): 9AM
  • North America (PT): 6AM
  • Japan: 10PM

As usual, the full recording of the presentation and the press release with all the details will be added to this post following the presentation.

Here’s a Youtube embed of the livestream:

And in case you missed it, here’s the reveal trailer:

Kirby Air Riders, a brand-new title originated from the Nintendo GameCube classic racing-action game Kirby Air Ride, and Masahiro Sakurai, the director of the Super Smash Bros. series, was announced for release this year. The trailer revealed a dramatic introduction of Kirby on his Warp Star machine and other Kirby air riders on a variety of unique machines, as they joined together on a racetrack. Kirby Air Riders will glide onto Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025.

Kirby Air Riders (Switch 2) does not have a release date yet, but is slated for a 2025 release worldwide.
