New Features & Updates
Introducing the Elderwood Piksii Blossom Bounce
We’re bouncing into this dynamic event like….
Something Magical This Way Comes! Bounce across bountiful mushrooms and catch cascading seeds that fall through the air. When the trees sparkle blue (about 5 minutes before the event), you know the fun is about to bloom!
Keep a sharp eye out for the floating platforms that appear to help you stay aloft. Help each other out by breaking the shields around the bigger, bluer seeds (they’re worth double!) with an arrow or smoke bomb, and water the little mushroom buds together so they blossom into bouncy mushrooms.
While you’re frolicking under the tree canopy, your stamina will also recharge at a faster rate! Each run of the Elderwood Piksii Blossom Bounce offers you and your friends a chance to claim some of the elusive Elderwood flower seeds to grow and other rewards. The event is repeatable, so grab your favorite Fun Guy friend and gallivant to the new dynamic event.
Note: Players will only be able to acquire these seeds from the Dynamic Event.
There’s all kinds of ways to explore and play the Piksii Blossom Bounce. Check out some helpful Tips & Tricks from S6 developers to help you make the most out of the dynamic event!
Hunt for Prismbeard’s Treasure Questline
Yarr! “X” marks the spot [metaphorically, hehe] for this new addition to the Palia quest book.
This three-part questline goes into Palia’s favorite seabreezed Grimalkin territory. Join your favorite mischievous brother duo (Auni and Nai’o) to solve puzzles and hunt for Prismbeard’s legendary treasure chest.
Set sail to the new corner of the Elderwood where Prismbeard’s crash landed in chaos. Join your best mateys in this new area, grab your pirate maps, procure your Elderwood backpack, and discover several new quests.
No need to finish the main story, just be level 30, visit the Elderwood once, and finish “Learning the Ropes.”
The rewards are worth every salt-soaked step. Plunder Prismbeard’s Lamp, Prismbeard’s Figurehead, and Prismbeard’s Statue as you blast through the quest rewards.
The sea’s callin’. Hope you packed your sense of direction.
Additional Discovery Quests
We hinted at more quests in the Palia Path Roadmap, and they’ve officially arrived! The Elderwood just got a bit more expansive with six additional Discovery quests to embark on.
- Learn more about the eccentric inventor who once lived on your plot, and search for his hidden treasure.
- A locket found on an unsuspecting Ogopuu hints at a personal story to be uncovered.
- Caleri will reward you handsomely with a Librarians bookshelf if you can procure her the rare book she has had her eyes on.
- Auni, as usual, could use a hand with recovering a dropped library book (and maybe a snack or two in the process).
- You’ll also get to root deeper into the bizarre backstory behind the Potato Pods and their eccentric creator. That is if you’re up for a winding trail of books, clues, treasures abound, and odd friendships. Perhaps you will bring several of the potato pods home for yourself!
- Finally, a mysterious key will send you scouting for a challenge on a classic treasure hunt full of riddles and beyond.
Happy hunting!
Courier Pet and Courier Saddlebag Questline
You’ve been waiting for a free pet and it’s finally here! And it comes with Courier Functionality too!
Embark on a full-fledged, story-rich questline designed for the most dedicated of adventurers. This questline will take you across every corner of the map, packed with intrigue and familiar faces.
To get started, you’ll need to be caught up through “Something Wicked” in the Main Story Quest, and have completed “Pieces of the Past.”
From there, it’s a three-part adventure where you work closely with Tamala to investigate a strange cursed object, uncover the deeper workings of Echo, and explore the world’s magic, its mysteries, and the powerful forces that shape the Elderwood.
Along the way, you’ll earn your very own tiny friend, the Platinum Galdur Pup. By the end, you’ll unlock the Courier Saddlebag, giving you four additional courier slots that you can use with any pet. (Yes, this stacks with the Founders Pack Baggage slots!) Your Galdur Pup adventure summer starts now.
Palium Storage
We’ve heard you loud and clear; storage is bursting at the seams! Stash and store even more shinies by acquiring and crafting Palium Storage.
- Each Palium Storage chest provides 1,750 storage
- Overall storage cap increases from 10,000 -> 14,000 if a player has all Palium Storage
- The Palium Storage recipe can be purchased from the register in Tish’s Store for 100,000 Gold

Free Realms™ Chatty Plush
Ever since we announced Palia, we’ve had tons of players tell us that it reminds them of a very special game from back in the day called Free Realms™ . Since launching, we’ve had a ton of players tell us that it brought some of that magic back for them. In honor of this, we’ve asked our friends over at Daybreak Game Company if we could put a little something from Free Realms™ into Palia. And as an homage to the current Palians who still have that love for their time in Free Realms™, you might find a somewhat familiar face: Chatty the Plush.
From noon PT today until Tuesday, July 1 – anyone who watches 6 hours of their favorite Palia Twitch Drops-enabled content creator will be rewarded with the Chatty Plush. This is a way of us saying thanks to the games that came before us. Additionally, he’ll be added as a drop in Zeki’s Wondrous Machine from this patch onward. If you’re not a Free Realms™ fan, then enjoy the cute Plush! But if you are, just remember that like in Free Realms™, in Palia, YOU RULE!
FREE REALMS and Chatty are TM © 2025 Daybreak Game Company LLC.
New Plushes and a Fowl Friend
Rock out with the new Rockhopper Plush that you may find while hanging out with some ribbeting friends.
And while size may not be everything, Pride definitely is! Enjoy two new giant Plushes: The Prismfish and Rainbow Maji Plushes. Why are they so big? To fit all of the love, of course! You will receive one of each as long as you have fishing level 3 and have met Elouisa.
And we can’t forget about our fowl(est) friends. Shake your tailfeather and lounge by your favorite body of water in Kilima Valley, Bahari Bay, or the Elderwood, and you might just fish out the elusive Grubby Ducky. When you clean your ducky by activating it in your inventory, you’ll receive a Spa Day Ducky AND the recipe to make even more feathery friends. Just keep in mind, the Grubby Ducky is a rare catch, so you will only be able to hook it once!

Updates to Item Pop Ups
We’ve updated the item pop-ups in Palia to reflect how rewarding and satisfying it is when acquiring a unique or rare item.
- Item notifications now reflect the rarity of the item that was acquired.
- Certain items and item types will display a more prominent notification.
- For now, this is limited to Stickers and the Courier Pet.
- We’ll be adding more categories of items over time!
- On PC, we’ve moved the notifications to the upper left to create more consistency between PC and console and avoid covering pinned quests.
- The animations have been updated to display these more smoothly, especially when players acquire more than three items in rapid succession.
Housing Slot Adjustments
Two changes are coming to Housing Slots to help you get the most out of your decor limit!
- Trees will no longer count against the decor limit on other Housing Slots!
- The various bushes, rocks, and trees that players start with on their default Housing Slot will no longer appear on other housing slots.
- This change will take effect for all players.
- If you liked the look of the bush on your extra Housing Slots, go check out the Piksii Blossom Bounce where you’ll be able to acquire a similar bush that can be grown on your housing plot!
- We’ve also removed the restriction on purchasing Small Rocks from the Yardwork Store in Kenli’s Office at City Hall. Now anyone can decorate other slots with matching rocks more easily!
Artifact Tracker for Elderwood
Still working on collecting all the artifacts? You can now see what artifacts you have submitted by opening the Elderwood Feature Guide. A new tab has been added that will indicate which artifacts have already been submitted to each collection.
Honeybunch Items Moved to Zeki’s Machine
Missed out on getting the Honeybunch decor set during patch? These items can now be acquired from Zeki’s Machine. Time to go buy some coins!
Improved Cooking UI
Several of the in-world UI elements for cooking have been updated to improve readability. Additionally the layout of the recipe selection screen has been updated to be consistent across platforms, with easier navigation for controllers.

New Features & Updates
Elderwood Essentials
The Elderwood Expansion includes an entirely new Adventure Zone, our first since we launched, which contains a whole new map filled with new content for every skill in the game, new gameplay systems for players to experience, and another chapter in our main story.
At the highest level, this update brings the following changes to the game:
- A new map, the Elderwood, a lush overgrown forest seeping with magic.
- A new chapter of our Main Story.
- A new Villager joining the cast of Palia.
- The introduction of Infected Essence, a major focus of the gathering experience in Elderwood.
- The search for Artifacts and ability to craft Relics, a new equipment type that provides buffs to not only yourself, but your party.
- New Gatherables, including a new wood type and forage you can knock down.
- Changes to mining, making Palium a more abundant resource and introducing dedicated mining nodes for Gold and Silver.
- New Huntable Creatures (and plushies!)
- New Insects, including a frog-like critter called the Rockhopper.
- New Fish, including some ferocious sharks.
- New garden crops found within the Elderwood.
- A new set of Cooking Recipes that make use of everything in the Elderwood.
- Our largest single patch of decor, including multiple new furniture sets.
- The introduction of Courier Pets to the game.
- And last but definitely not least, decor limits have increased on the housing plot from 3,000 to 3,500!
To help players navigate the range of experiences in Elderwood, we’ve created a central page in the Player Menu to be your one stop shop for what you can accomplish in Elderwood.
Welcome to Elderwood
The Elderwood is a lush, overgrown forest filled with magic where a different subrace of Majiri, the Umbraa, once inhabited. All players will immediately gain access to the Elderwood, but we highly recommend having Fine Tools as well as completing the Temples Questline up through “Rooted in Place” before diving too far into the map.
The entrance to the Elderwood is found in the northern part of Bahari, between Tamala’s house and the Housing Plot gate.
New to the Elderwood is a requirement to find each of the Stables in order to unlock travel to those locations. Once you have found the Elderwood Central Stables, you’ll be able to use Stables throughout the world to travel directly to the Elderwood. As a reward for finding all of the Elderwood Stables locations, Nai’o will give you a recipe to craft your very own stable sign at your housing plot.
Quests and Villager Updates
Elderwood brings with it a new chapter for our Main Story, a whole batch of side quests and a brand new Villager to meet. Our Villagers will also see some changes to their schedules now that the Elderwood has opened — we’ll let you all discover exactly what those changes are as you progress through the expansion.
Main Story Chapter and Side Quests
Players that are all caught up with our Main Story will see things kickoff immediately when they login with our Elderwood Opening Cinematic. Some of the new systems in Elderwood do require Main Story progression, so we recommend all players get caught up. Specifically, you’ll want to have completed these quests:
- ‘Vault of the Waves’
- ‘Vault of the Flames’
- ‘Vault of the Gales’
- ‘Vault of the Roots’
- ‘Troubled Waters’
- ‘Into the Fire’
- ‘Up in the Air’
- ‘Rooted In Place’
Note: Players do not need to complete the Night Sky Bundles to engage with the Elderwood’s Main Story Quests.
As the Main Story progresses in the Elderwood, players will unlock different elements of Elderwood’s gameplay, which we’ll cover below.
That’s not all, though! While you explore the Elderwood you’ll come across a variety of Guide and Discovery Quests that expand on the history of this map and introduce various new mechanics. To help players uncover these quests, some will be marked directly on the map.
Tamala’s Potion Shop
Tamala is finally opening her wares and sharing some of her concoctions. Once you progress through and complete The Nature of Shadows quest you’ll be able to purchase unique items such as an Anti-Slime potion and one of our new garden crops.
For players who want to travel back home more easily, once you complete the quest “Where the Hearth Is”, Tamala will also sell you a Hearth Potion which will let you travel home at any point.
Subira’s Shop
Once players complete the “Something Wicked” quest, Subira will allow you to purchase some grab bags of items from the Elderwood. These are perfect options if you want to finish your Elderwood collection but maybe don’t enjoy a given skill.
Meet Ulfe
Ulfe is the newest Villager joining the cast of Palia — a young Umbraan boy who’s been living in the Elderwood for a while. The Umbraans are a different subrace of Majiri that have a more favorable view on the use of Flow.
Note: While Ulfe is excited to meet all of you, he takes his time in order to get to know a new friend. Your friendship with him will be able to grow in future patches.
World Updates
With the introduction of Elderwood, the Villagers seem to have taken notice and there are a few updates in kind.
- Various Villagers have new daily dialogues that will refer to the Elderwood.
- All materials found in the Elderwood have been added to Weekly Wants. Items from the Elderwood typically are Tier 3 and 4 Weekly Wants.
- Villagers will accept new materials from the Elderwood as gifts.
- Various Villager schedules have been updated to include the Elderwood as part of their schedule.
Artifacts and Discoverables
One of the core goals with Adventure Zones is to provide a feeling of surprise and delight around every corner. As you explore, you’ll find a mysterious substance that has infected the Elderwood, as well as new Decor, Umbraan Shrines, Rummage Piles, and Treasure Chests.
Infected Essence
Throughout the map, players will find various gathering items infected by an unknown magical essence. Collecting this essence requires unique materials and equipment specific to the Elderwood — as players continue through Elderwood’s main story, they’ll unlock the ability to craft the necessary materials to collect infected items.
Infected Essence is a major part of Elderwood’s new gathering experience — and by acquiring it players will be able to acquire new recipes and gameplay benefits from a variety of sources.
Elderwood Decor Set
The Elderwood Decor set is our first furniture set found entirely through exploration. Across the Elderwood, you’ll find pieces of the furniture left behind from the Umbraans.
The first time you interact with one of these pieces, you’ll meet Binnie, a ravenous little Piksii who would like some of that Infected Essence that’s been showing up. Once you provide Binnie with the appropriate amount of Infected Essence, they’ll teach you the recipe to craft that item.
Don’t worry if you don’t have enough Infected Essence when you find an item — the map will automatically track the location of any Elderwood Decor piece you find until you’ve acquired it.
The full list of furniture from this set is included in the Furniture Making and Decor section below.
Umbraan Shrines
Umbraan Shrines are hidden throughout the map and require the player to offer a unique Sacred Flower, which can be acquired from the following sources:
- Hidden throughout the Elderwood
- From various Main Story, Guide, and Discovery Quests
- Purchased from Tamala’s Store
- Hunting Waveback Ogopuus and Piksii Shmoles
Similar to the Elderwood Decor Set, if you find an Umbraan Shrine, it will remain marked on your map until you complete the offering.
As a reward for offering a Sacred Flower, players can receive Artifacts and various resource packs filled with Elderwood materials.
Rummage Piles
Each real world day, players can find two Rummage Piles hidden within the Elderwood. These locations are the same for every player each day.
In order to gain the rewards, players will need to use their Hoe to clear the dirt before grabbing the items.
Treasure Chests
It wouldn’t be a new map without new treasure chests. Players will find these hidden throughout the Elderwood. Open them to receive a variety of rewards, including a few new Recipes!
Artifacts and Relics
“Strange things abound in the Elderwood, and where there is strange, I intend to be close behind! One mustn’t be afraid to get dirty in the pursuit of the unknown, so grab your shovel and help uncover the secrets of the past! Together we’ll prove what science has dismissed! And don’t worry, I’ll be sure to reward you handsomely for anything you find. I’ve been working on some Brighteye hunting gear I think you’ll find quite exciting!” — Elouisa
“What my sister means to say is that we would appreciate your assistance in recovering lost artifacts within the Elderwood, so that we may donate them to the Umbraan Museum of History in Nocturne. And please, if she starts talking about Flothman again, do us both a favor and do not engage.” — Caleri
As players explore and progress through the Elderwood, they’ll uncover various Artifacts. These artifacts are a vital part of the Elderwood’s gathering experience — by completing a set of artifacts, the player will be able to acquire the schematics to Relics, a new equipment type that provides buffs to not only you, but your entire party! If you want to maximize your capabilities in the Elderwood, you’ll want to work together to acquire and level up each of these Relics.
Artifacts
Artifacts can be found primarily through Umbraan Shrines and Rummage Piles, and can also be traded with other players at the Elderwood Central Stables. If you happen to find a piece you already have, try offering it up to trade with another player in order to complete a set!
Upon acquiring your first Artifact, you’ll receive the “Pieces of the Past” quest, which will guide you through how the system works.
You can submit any artifacts you find at the Central Stables, near the southern exit.
Relics
Relics are a new piece of equipment that provide various buffs to both you and your party. Relics can be leveled up to provide you and your party stronger buffs. Each player in your party can equip a unique Relic, sharing its benefits with other party members.
Note: Relics can only be equipped within the Elderwood Central Stables.
Relic Benefit Brighteye Amulet A small buff to essence looted. Brighteye Amulet II A medium buff to essence looted. Brighteye Amulet III A large buff to essence looted. By completing an Artifact, you’ll earn Elouisa Fun Bucks, which can be exchanged for the necessary schematics to craft a Relic via the register near where you donate Artifacts.
Relics can be crafted in the Elderwood Central Stables, near the waterfall. To craft and upgrade relics, you’ll need a few unique items: Enchanting Runestones and Finishing Runestones.

For players who really want to show off their prowess, you can unlock a unique Nameplate by leveling every Relic up to Tier IV.
Mining
As part of Elderwood’s release, we’re making some larger changes to material acquisition.
- Palium is now exclusively found in the Elderwood, and is as abundant in the Elderwood as Iron is in Bahari.
- Because Palium is significantly easier to acquire, we’re increasing the amount of Palium Bars necessary to craft Exquisite Tools to be in line with other tool tiers.
- XP values from Palium nodes have also been adjusted to account for the increased availability.
- A new type of stone, Whitestone, is an uncommon drop from stone nodes within the Elderwood.
- Whitestone can also be refined at the Smelter to create Whitestone Slabs.
- The recipe for Whitestone Slabs can be purchased for 300g at Hodari’s Mining Store once you are Mining Level 5.
- A new type of ore, Platinum, can now be found in rare, dedicated nodes across the Elderwood.
- Platinum Ore can be refined into Platinum Bars at the Smelter.
- The recipe for Platinum Bars can be purchased for 5,000g at Hodari’s Mining Store once you are Mining Level 10.
Fear not, we’ve been very happy with the gameplay experience around Palium and are going to replace it with new dedicated nodes for Silver and Gold. You can now chase the materials for that Honey Lure.
- Silver Nodes can now be found rarely across Kilima Village.
- Note: Silver Nodes will drop the same Starstones as Copper Nodes.
- Gold Nodes can now be found rarely across Bahari Bay.
- Note: Gold Nodes will drop the same Starstones as Iron Nodes.
Lastly, the Ore Compass has been updated to work with all of the above changes. It will now track the following mining nodes:
- All Silver, Gold, and Platinum Nodes
- Large Sized Stone, Whitestone, Copper, Iron, and Palium
Foraging
“Many of the Phoenix’s Children have come to me of late asking how they might minimize their impact on the natural world. If you, like me, avoid consuming animal products, I believe some of the resources noted below with * to be suitable substitutes in recipes that call for them. I especially suggest you try the veggie chili — I believe I left the recipe lying around in my room somewhere!” — Chayne
Within the Elderwood, we’re introducing a wide variety of new gatherable types and materials. Various items found across the Elderwood are used for crafting the new decor sets or used in various cooking dishes that are new with the Zone.
- A new type of wood, Ancient Wood, can be found throughout the Elderwood from Ancient Trees.
- Ancient Trees will sometimes drop a seed that players can plant on their home plot.
- Rarely, Ancient Wood will drop a high value Ancient Amber.
- Elderwood Orchids
- Elderwood Lotuses
- Elderflower
- An epic flower that’s quite hard to find.
- Staircase Mushrooms *
- Note: When foraging a staircase mushroom, players have a chance to learn the recipe to Muskin — a leather like material crafted at the Fabric Loom from any Mushroom.
- Floatfish Mushrooms
- Elder Clam Mushrooms *
- These can be opened to acquire Elder Clam Mushroom Meat and, rarely, a Black Pearl.
- Note: Elder Clam Mushroom Meat can be used in any cooking dish that requires any Red Meat.
- Flowtatos
- Batterfly Beans
- On occasion, players will acquire a Batterfly Bean Seed when foraging which can be planted in the player’s garden.
- The Dowsing Rod will track new Rare, Epic, and Legendary Forage found within the Elderwood.
- There are two accomplishments for collecting all Foragables within the Elderwood.
Falling Forage
Additionally, we’re introducing shootable forage into the game. On some trees in the Bahari Bay and Elderwood, players will see items hanging from trees. Players can use an arrow to shoot down the forage, or chop the tree to get the item.
- Honey can be gathered from beehives on Pine trees in Bahari Bay and the Elderwood.
- Kopaa Nuts can be found on Ancient Trees in the Elderwood.
Hunting Creatures
As players explore Elderwood, they’ll come across a couple new creatures to hunt — the Ogopuu and Shmole!
Ogopuu
The Ogopuu is a feisty one and is the first creature in Palia that will hit you back, but in our own cozy way. When alerted, the Ogopuu can spit sticky slime at you, slowing your ability to move in the map. Not only that, but the Ogopuu are beefy and will require a number of arrows to take down. We recommend Fine arrows and a party.
- There are three types of Ogopuu: the regular Ogopuu, the Emerald Ogopuu, and the Waveback Ogopuu.
- Hunter’s Horn will track Waveback Ogopuu.
- Players can acquire Ogopuu Meat and Ogopuu Skin from all types of Ogopuu.
- Ogopuu Meat can be used as a Fish replacement in dishes that allow Any Fish.
- On occasion, the player may also acquire an Ogopuu Scale, Emerald Ogopuu Scale, or Waveback Ogopuu Scale from their respective types.
- For plushie collectors, each Ogopuu type has an associated rare plush.
- Two new hunting accomplishments have been added related to the Ogopuu.
- The “Slimed!” accomplishment (for collecting each type of Scale) will award the Ogopuu Mounted Trophy.
Shmole
The Shmole is a wholly new paradigm for hunting — across Elderwood players will find networks of Shmole Holes that contain multiple Shmoles. These little ones are tricky to catch — when alerted they’ll dive back into their hole and pop out somewhere else within the network, sort of like a multiplayer version of whack-a-mole. Shmoles will wait patiently for players who are playing solo and need to find where they popped out, but for hunting parties, players can split up and manage a few holes each.
- There are three types of Shmole: the regular Shmole, the Elder Shmole, and the Piksii Shmole.
- Hunter’s Horn will track Piksii Shmole.
- Shmoles primarily drop various types of mushrooms found throughout the Elderwood.
- On occasion, the player may also acquire a Shmole Spore, Elder Shmole Spore, or a Piksii Shmole Spore from their respective types.
- For plushie collectors, each Shmole type has an associated rare plush.
- Two new hunting accomplishments have been added related to the Shmole.
- The “Whack-a-Shmole!” accomplishment (for collecting one of each type of Spore) will award the Shmole Mounted Trophy.
Global Balance Changes
In addition to the new hunting creatures, we’ve made a number of adjustments to hunting across the game. We’ve gotten feedback that our hunting creatures get spooked too easily and are making some changes to make it easier to sneak up on them.
- Greatly reduced the angle at which creatures could spot you. They have more tunnel vision now.
- Slightly reduced range at which loud sounds will cause creatures to flee.
- Lethargy Arrows have the following adjustments:
- Greatly increased slow-effect duration
- Slightly decreased the effect slow has on all creatures
- Slightly decreased the damage the arrow does
- Tier III Creatures no longer remove the slow effect when using their own abilities
- These changes should give a clearer identity to the Lethargy Arrow while also better supporting the new hunting creatures in Elderwood.
- Slightly reduced the sprint speed of all Sernuk
- Slighty reduced Elder Sernuk health
Insect Catching
Across the Elderwood, players will find a range of new insects to collect, including new types such as the Piksii and Rockhopper.
- The Buzzy Jar will track new Rare, Epic, and Legendary insects found within the Elderwood.
- Three new accomplishments have been added to recognize players who catch the full collection.
- The “Elderwood Entomologist” accomplishment (for collecting all base Elderwood insects) will award the Brighteyed Shadowbox decor item.
- The “Master Elderwood Entomologist” accomplishment (for collecting all Star-Quality Elderwood insects) will award the Elderwood Shadowbox decor item.
Insect Description Grumpy Granite Rockhopper It is impossible to tell if this rockhopper is genuinely mad at you, or if its face just looks that way. Flame-Horned Rockhopper Despite the name, its horns are as cool and slimy to the touch as the rest of this rockhopper. It uses its fiery appearance to intimidate potential predators. Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper This pale rockhopper is said to glow softly in the dark of the Elderwood, luring unwitting travelers deeper into the dark. Blushing Batterfly A batterfly that spends most of its time flitting among the bioluminescent foliage of the Elderwood’s caves. Sunburst Batterfly Unlike its light-averse brethren, this batterfly thrives under the meager light of the Elderwood. Nightshadow Batterfly This batterfly only comes out under the cover of night and canopy both. Draugr Beetle One might mistake the bright coloring on its armor for natural markings, but they’re actually a sign of the parasitic fungus that has taken control of this unsuspecting beetle. Blood Beetle Named for the startling red markings splashed across this beetle’s exoskeleton. Despite the name they actually prefer feasting on piksii berries over anything sanguine. Cave Piksii This Piksii lives under the staircase mushrooms that grow along the walls of caves in the Elderwood. Be careful where you tread, lest you disturb one and face its tiny wrath. Veil Piksii These Piksiis are said to form from the Flow of those unable to cross the Veil. Strange that so many should populate the Elderwood. Fishing
The Elderwood is fully stocked with a new set of fish for players to catch, distributed across the zone and at various times of the day. This includes two new fish types: Sharks and Floatfish.
The fish in the Elderwood are more difficult to catch on average than fish from the Bahari and Kilima; we advise players who want to catch the rarest ones to use Palium tools and every buff at their disposal.
Three new accomplishments have been added to recognize players who catch the full collection: The “Elderwood Angler” accomplishment (for collecting all base Elderwood fish) will award the Mounted Floatfish. The “Master Elderwood Angler” accomplishment (for collecting all Star-Quality Elderwood fish) will award the Mounted Maws.
Fish Description Ancient Koi Legends say these koi once lived in the ponds of King Mudan’s palace. Angelfish Be not afraid. Bronze Bluegill Just like the Orange Bluegill, this fish has nary a spot of blue to be seen- not even its gills! Devilfish Actually not that bad a guy. Eleroo Eel Affectionately named for its sizable snout, and not for what it eats. Still, you might want to keep your eleroos at a distance. Inyrevn Mermaid Murmurs of a mermaid in the water brought curious fishers from across Bahari Island to these woods in hopes they could catch sight of such a majestic creature. The Inyrevn Mermaid is likely not what they pictured. Lake Shark Just when you thought the lakes were safe… Majiri-of-War A mythological floatfish said to be attracted to areas associated with great strife. Maws There’s a shark in the Elderwood, they say, with eyes as black as the void, like a potato pod’s eyes. Maws, they call him, and by the time you see him coming, it’s too late. Midnight Floatfish This floatfish emerges in the dark of night to feed on the nightmares of little children who don’t eat their veggies- or so the old Umbraan tale goes. Mini Mullet A controversial fish both despised and beloved across Palia. Mossyfin The Mossyfin will hide among the mossy rocks at the bottom of pools to camouflage itself. Unfortunately the bright pink stripes on its fins mean this is mostly pointless. Palian Betta The Palian Betta is known for its solitary nature and tendency to fight others of its own kind. Unsurprisingly, the Palian Betta was named by Umbraans. Piksii Floatfish The Piksii of the Elderwood can come in all shapes and sizes. This one, for example, comes in the shape and size of a floatfish. Sabertoothed Anchovy An anchovy with teeth so sharp it might eat YOU for dinner. Starry Bitterling It’s said all the Elderwood’s stars are in its waters, for its canopy blocks out the sky. Tinfin A somewhat paranoid cousin of the Kilima Gillyfin. Toadstool Floatfish One touch of this floatfish’s tentacles will induce mild hallucinations in its victim. You don’t want to know what two touches can do. Turn Pike This fish can go from 0-60 in the blink of an eye and complete a 90 degree turn at full speed. Umbraan Betta Unlike its Palian cousin, the Umbraan Betta can tolerate and even thrive in the presence of other Umbraan Betta. Fishing Catch Rates Have Changed Globally
Alongside the Elderwood, we’ve reworked how fishing catches are determined across the game, resulting in changes to all catch rates for items in fishing. These changes are systemic, meaning there was no explicit goal to increase or decrease any given item, but it would not be possible to match the previous catch rates. That said, we believe that this will result in more chances for players to catch hard to acquire fish. In general:
- Most fish required for Night Sky Temple bundles are more likely to appear.
- Makeshift chests are more likely to appear when not using bait, and less likely to appear when you use Worms and Glow Worms.
- When no bait is used, common fish will be more likely to appear, and uncommon less likely.
- When using worms, common fish will be less likely to appear, and uncommon fish will be more likely to appear.
- When using Glow Worms, epic fish will be more likely to appear.
There are many exceptions to the above, to cherry pick a few examples we know players will catch (pun intended):
- Sushi recipes are more likely to appear.
- Voidray, Unicorn Fish, and Ancient fish are all more likely to appear.
- Stormray, Hypnotic Moray, and Enchanted Pupfish are less likely to appear.
“To pull back the curtain, we want to be able to make more fish, and be able to do more with fishing. This system was one of our oldest and was painful for us to work in as we look to the future. These changes allow us to author fish more efficiently and reliably, while also making it easier to introduce new types of fish (or items) into the fishing experience. The new fish in Elderwood forced us to dive back into this system and realize changes were necessary to continue to create more fish and new types of fish.” — S6 Forseti
Gardening and Cooking
With the Elderwood Expansion, we’re releasing two new crops for Palia: Batterfly Beans and Rockhopper Pumpkins.
- Batterfly Beans are a new multiharvest 2×2 Crop:
- Batterfly Beans can be found at the bases of large trees around the Elderwood.
- Batterfly Bean Seeds will occasionally be acquired when gathering Batterfly Beans from the world.
- Players can unlock the Canned Beans recipe for the Preserves Jar by completing the “Bean Tycoon I” Accomplishment.
- Rockhopper Pumpkins are a new multiharvest 2×2 Crop:
- Pumpkin Seeds can be acquired from Tamala’s Potion Store once the player has progressed the Main Story.
- Players can unlock the Canned Pumpkin recipe for the Preserves Jar by completing the “Pumpkin Purveyor I” Accomplishment.
Of course, you can’t have new gardening crops without some new cooking dishes! The following dishes all require either the new crops and/or materials found throughout Elderwood:

Decor Limit Increase
We are increasing the housing plot Decor Limit from 3,000 -> 3,500 items.
“We’ve been working on delivering a wide range of performance optimizations for the housing plot. We’re being conservative on this increase to ensure things remain stable as well as maintain some head room for the future to add more to the housing plot” — S6 Forseti

We’ve made some updates to the initial experience for new players just starting the game. This mostly impacts the first hour of the game, with some smaller changes and ripple effects through the first 5 hours or so of the game.
These changes will not impact existing players; there are neither new unique items nor changes to the story in these updates.
We had a few main goals for these changes:
- Provide clearer guidance on how to play Palia, especially:
- Get players into the home decoration experience earlier
- Provide more guidance on how to learn the various skills of the game.
- Introducing some improvements to the game we have made post-launch into the early part of the game.
Some examples of changes that fit these goals:
- “Welcome to Palia”:
- Players now start with a broken-down house to repair.
- Ashura and Hodari stay on the player’s plot throughout the quest to give guidance and field any questions about their muscles.
- Players are now asked to craft some decor.
- “Learning the Ropes”:
- Players now acquire their tools from Auni, Hassian, and Einar directly to strengthen the tutorialization of those tools.
- Badruu and Reth will visit your plot to teach Gardening and Cooking.
- Kenli’s quest now teaches you how to expand your house instead of teaching you how to build the main house.
- We have made some villagers easier to find in Kilima during these quests.
- Several early conversations now have two Villagers at the same time. ✨
“To get ready for all the new PlayStation and Xbox players, we wanted to take everything we’ve learned and built since launch to make the introduction to Palia as smooth and clear as possible. We’ve preserved the freedom to explore, while improving the early-game questline, smoothing out how it leads to the Temples questline, giving more guidance on skills and housing, and a number of little polish pieces to make it shine.” — Richie Berry

Each send-off has a brief, 10-minute cooldown, and you can expand capacity to 8 slots total – 4 slots unlock with the Founder’s Pack, and another 4 will be able to be unlocked through an Elderwood questline in Patch 0.192. But we won’t say more on that – no spoilers! For a deeper look at how this light utility unlock and the debut of earnable cosmetics fits into our evolving monetization strategy, read our developer blog here.

Top Known Issues
New to 0.191
- We have updated the Emotes screen with categories to make finding the perfect way to express oneself easier! To make this work, players’ emote wheels will reset when you first log in.
- Medium Gold Nodes are not dropping their intended Starstones. They currently drop the same Starstones as Copper Nodes.
- The “Infected Angler” achievement does not complete as expected after the player catches all of the fish.
- The “Infected Cave Piksii” is not being counted for the achievement “Infected Entomologist”
- Artifacts currently do not sort into their own category, they will appear in the “All” category.
- The “Piksii Grove” item has a smaller than intended radius
- The “Mounted Ogopuu” Head item has the incorrect housing plot value.
- If selected, the “Enable Own Overhead Name” button does not display the overhead name until the player switches servers.
- Holding the Inspect Garden button while entering Placement Mode can cause the UI to stay stuck.
- “Starting” and “Required” Ingredients headers don’t currently show their tooltips in the cooking menu.
- When in placement mode, the pickup interact text for the “Elderwood Map” incorrectly says “Kilima Village Map” instead of Elderwoods Map.
- The “Trading Tips” quest dialogue may be confusing if it is obtained from the Elderwood trading post.
- In some instances, friend requests may not appear immediately. Exiting the game and logging back in should resolve this issue.
- Players will see a buff appear when watering and hoeing. The buff has a little bug icon and is only shown when doing those actions.
- When sending an outfit via Mystery Outfit Gifting, some players will need to press the “Confirm” button twice to select the friend receiving the gift.
- Players logging into Palia for the first time will not be able to use community chat features. Fully exiting the game and restarting the application should resolve the issue.
- Clicking “View Store” may cause a brief black screen and unresponsive controls before the Premium Store opens as expected.
- Subira may not appear at the Elderwood Stables during the final step of the Something Wicked quest, blocking quest completion unless spoken to in her private space.
Other Issues
- Some Series 1 Sticker Set accomplishments might not progress when opening Sticker packs until after a server transition occurs or the player relogs.
- In some instances, players can roll dice faster than text inputs can display.
- The flipping mechanic in the cooking minigame could become stuck in a looped animation, preventing progression.
- Some players are unable to send party invites or sync to the correct server, making multiplayer features inaccessible.
- Some players could experience unintentional overlap between the emoji menu and emojis used in chat.
- The player character may have fixed expressions when using emotes.

New Features & Updates
It’s Field Day in Palia… but way more cozy. Head to the Housing Store Store and purchase the Sandbox Signpost, Sandbox Bouncy Shroom, and Sandbox Timer to get started designing the high-octane, totally frenetic… or absolutely chill obstacle course of your dreams.
The Sandbox Decor includes three pieces to start, such as:
- Sandbox Signpost – Mark the starting line, praise your friends, or leave an ironic “no jumping” note via this item’s custom messages viewable by anyone who visits your plot. Go wild (but keep it classy)!
- Sandbox Bouncy Shroom – This mysterious mushroom totally sprouted out of nowhere… totally. This springy substance yeets anyone who steps on its burgeoning dome, making for some pretty sweet vertical vaults.
- Sandbox Timer – Ready, set, GO! The timer is here to settle friendly rivalries, challenge your reflexes, or keep an eye on your homemade Akwinduu Chapaa (not advised). Tap the timer, and the countdown begins, with a shiny UI display tracking your time. But beware—once that clock starts ticking, you can’t pick it up, so make sure it’s placed just right before you press start.
Builder’s Set Decor
Tinker with some timber using the Builder’s Set Decor. This set is packed with bridges, tracks, tools, and other industrial decor geared for you to craft your coziest path.

Introducing Mystery Outfit Gifting
One of the most wonderful aspects of Palia is our community. All you Palians have built an incredible culture of sharing, generosity, and helping each other in-game. Since Palia’s wide release, folks have continually asked for ways to share Premium content with friends, and we’re thrilled to finally deliver our first gifting opportunity: Mystery Outfit Gifting!
Mystery Outfit Gifting allows you to surprise your Palia besties with Premium outfits, fully wrapped and at a massive discount! Our first gifting feature is designed to streamline the Gift-giving process to focus purely on the joy of gifting a lil’ surprise, eliminating guesswork and hassle while letting your thoughtful gesture shine through. And since every Mystery Outfit is worth more Palia Coins than you pay, you can be confident knowing you (and your friend!) are always getting a great deal.
How It Works:
- Visit the new Premium Store and navigate to the Featured section.
- Select Mystery Outfit Gifting for 795 Palia Coins.
- Each Mystery Gift sends your friend a random Premium Outfit:
- That they don’t already own
- That has a base price that’s always greater than the price of the gift (e.g. more than 795 Coins)
- Every outfit has an equal chance – so each top tier outfit is just as likely as any other outfit.
- Choose a friend from your Friends List, add an optional personalized message, and confirm your purchase using Palia Coins.
- Your friend will receive a notification with their surprise Gift!
This is our first gifting feature, but it doesn’t mean we won’t have others in the future. And as a reminder, Mystery Outfit Gifting is completely optional, and the feature is not required to acquire any content. If you want to learn more about Mystery Outfit Gifting, check out the detailed rundown here.
As always, thank you for making Palia such a supportive and vibrant community!
Maji Market and Log-in Rewards
Maji Market returns in the Tinker & Timber update! Players can explore the night market for a week between Tuesday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 8.
As always, log-in at least once between 10 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Mar. 26 and 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, April 8; and then again between 10 a.m. PT on Wednesday, April 9 and 10 a.m. PT on Monday, April 21 to collect some free rewards!
Improvements & Adjustments
Prologue Questline Quality-of-Life
- We’ve made a number of adjustments to quests around Subira’s introduction in order to simplify the flow as well as ensure newer players avoid a brick wall of requirements.
- Updated Strange Things Afoot to immediately start Fit for a Watcher.
- Removed the requirement to complete Prove your Devotion in order for Fit for a Watcher to start.
- The Order Decor recipes now require mid-tier materials instead of high-end materials.
- This change benefits all players, including those who already have this set.
- Changed Your Order is Served quest objective. Players now give Reth ingredients for him to cook a carrot cake, removing the requirement for fruit.
- Your Order is Served will only award the Petit Five recipe.
- Oysters Akwinduu and Muujin Bahari recipes are now purchasable at the Cooking Guild Store.
- Updated dialogue at the end of Extravagant Expectations to immediately kick off Troubled Waters.
- Updated Troubled Waters to remove the Auni visit that starts the quest; players now go directly to the temple to meet Subira.
“When we first launched Palia in beta last year, the quest design looked a lot different than it does today. Through player feedback and iteration, we’ve arrived at a way of storytelling that is cleaner, more linear, and easier to follow. It was time to update some of those clunky older quests to remove points of confusion and integrate the storylines to meet those new standards. In addition, we never intended for Subira’s introduction quests to be permanent when we released them – this has changed as we wanted everyone to have access to this content, and we built capabilities that allow villagers to show up on the map based on quest progress. If you’re in the middle of these quests, you may notice a bit of wonkiness as the quests update to their new intended order, but the hope is that this new quest experience will line up better with how we want to tell stories in Palia going forward.” -S6 Vega
Social Menu Sub-Menu
The social menu now has sub-tabs that group a few different lists of friends
- All: Displays online Friends, Community Members, Server, and Home Visitors.
- Community: Shows online Community Members.
- Server: Shows players on the server and Home Visitors.
- Offline: Shows your list of Offline friends.

New Features & Updates
Introducing Stickers
Never miss another callout when you equip Stickers, a free new way to express yourself and communicate on-the-fly with your fellow Palians!
“We’ve heard from many players who use controllers that they want better ways to engage with chat. We think Stickers can help these players communicate in a fun and playful way, as well as offer unique new collectibles that encourage even more self-expression.
Players that hop in-game following the update will immediately earn eight free Stickers that can post to chat. When identifying whichStickers will post to chat, we looked at the most common phrases players used in Palia and custom-built Stickers and messages that match the player’s intent.” -S6 Forseti
While we want to focus on streamlining the most critical communications through the initial 8 free Stickers, most Stickers are about enhancing expression. The more than 40 Stickers earned via drops by engaging in various skills, such as Insect Catching, Fishing, etc. will not post to chat, and are intended to be collected. Just like Plushes, some Stickers are more rare than others… so you’ll want to check out the Sticker Trading Kiosk in the Underground Black Market to complete your collection.
Note: You cannot trade the batch of 8 Stickers you initially start with.
We don’t want to spoil too many Stickers, but keep an eye out for some of our personal favorites (hehe), including: This Is Fine, So Fierce!, and Looking Stylish!
Note: Some Premium Stickers will be added to the Premium Store periodically starting with the two Stickers listed in the Premium Store section below.
Spa Day Decor
Transform your Home Plot into a tranquil retreat with the Spa Day Decor, featuring everything you need to create the ultimate relaxation experience from the comfort of your Palian home.
Players can acquire the Spa Day Decor set from Tish’s Furniture Store via Furniture Making Medals.
New Plushes, Flowers, Makeup and Tint
Shell-ebrate the good times with two new Plushes that’ll literally give you butterflies!
The highly-anticipated Garden Snail Plush is a rare drop that you can get by catching the Garden Snail.
The Rainbow Tipped Butterfly is a rare drop that you can get by catching the Rainbow Tipped Butterfly.
And your Home Plot will bloom when you place these new floral additions! Three new flowers have been added, including:
- Pinky Pom-Pom: Seeds dropped from the Gossamer Veil Moth.
- Pale Paintbrush: Seeds dropped from the Brighteye Butterfly.
- Nandina: Seeds dropped from the Spitfire Cicada.
Lastly, the Alabastor Tint [we acknowledge “Alabaster” is misspelled, hehe] is available immediately for all players at the mod bench! Swatch-up the look of our Decor when you try out this sleek white tint.

Celebrate Luna New Year
It’s time to gather and celebrate new beginnings with the return of Luna New Year to the Kilima Village Fairgrounds!
Starting on Thursday, January 23 through Thursday, February 20, the familiar Maji Market will transform to celebrate Luna New Year. The in-game event is a time for reflection, joy, and community spirit where the streets of the Kilima Village Fairgrounds are adorned with vibrant lanterns and the sights and sounds of a bustling night market celebrating prosperity.
Luna New Year patrons will remember the thrill of collecting Lucky Envelopes while enjoying the booms and bright lights from the evening fireworks show. All of these attractions are returning for Luna New Year, including:
- Hot Pot: The Underground Black Market game-of-choice returns to its roots with the Luna New Year celebration.
- Chapaa Chase: A night market staple, players can again expect to hustle and heave as many chapaas as they can.
- Wish Tree: At the center of the fairgrounds stands the Wish Tree. Every real-world day you log-in, you’ll find a letter in the mailbox from Chayne that includes a Wish Ribbon. Stop by the Wish Tree to make your wish – it just might come true!

XP Clarity Improvements
You’ve got some serious skills. Why not show them off? We’ve improved XP clarity by showcasing the amount of experience earned for each skill, such as foraging, mining, etc. You can even see when your XP is boosted! And if you prefer a lil’ mystery, you can toggle off visual XP collection in the Gameplay Settings menu.

New Features & Updates
The Maji Market Returns
Good news, Palians! The beloved Maji Market makes its grand return to the Kilima Village Fairgrounds, bringing with it all the excitement, enchantment, and mouth-watering treats you all know and love!
Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to the world of Palia, Maji Market offers a chance to connect with your friends and villagers within the bustling night market like never before.
You’ll showcase your skills in various minigames, immerse yourself in vibrant Palian culture, fill your stamp card to the brim, sample all the merchant goodies on offer, and take in the whimsical atmosphere that only this magical event can provide.
Keep a lookout for your invitation in the mail! And while Maji Market remains only open between the Palian hours of 6 p.m. to 3 a.m; you’ll have a lot more time to complete all that Maji Market has to offer. The villagers had so much fun during the last Maji Market, they’ve decided to bring it back on a regular basis! You can expect to visit the night market for one week every month moving forward!
During this patch, Maji Market will be running for a week, starting immediately. It will then return for a week starting on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and come back every four weeks. To preview what that looks like, these are the weeks Maji Market will be active.
- Starts Sept. 24 at 12am PT – Ends Sept. 30 at 11:59pm PT
- Starts Oct. 8 at 12am PT – Ends Oct. 14 at 11:59pm PT
- Starts Nov. 5 at 12am PT – Ends Nov. 11 at 11:59pm PT
- Starts Dec. 3 at 12am PT – Ends Dec. 9 at 11:59pm PT
- Continuing every 4 weeks
Brand New Maji Market Quests, Games, and More
The new and improved Maji Market mixes the classic fare that players know and love with brand new minigames, quests, and collectables.
The familiar night market minigame Chapaa Chase is a Maji Market staple, and players can again expect to hustle and heave as many chapaas as they can.
Stamp Cards are also returning alongside all of the merchants, vendors, and kiosks to spend your hard-earned tickets and earn accomplishments. While progress from the last Maji Market will not carry over, your Stamp Card progress, collection, and accomplishments will carry over month-to-month! So if Maji Market wraps before you complete an achievement, you can pick up right where you left off in the next month’s night market.
And while we don’t want to give too much away, event-goers can look forward to several new activities, quests, and collectables.
New and returning Maji Market attendees will test their reflexes in Pop-A-Chapaa, where players can work together to earn tickets! Every night at 8 p.m. Palia time, balloons will release from the water around the dock, and you and your friends can team-up to blast the balloons out of the sky. Everyone that participates will earn tickets; and the more collective balloons popped, the more tickets earned! And like Hassian always says (probably), “you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” So don’t worry about letting loose [your arrows]. Everyone that participates has infinite arrows and bow durability during the game.
Per usual, Zeki has set up shop and brings a whole new attraction to the night market: Zeki’s Claw Machine. Players that spend tickets within the market have a chance to earn a Claw Machine Token. The more tickets you spend on an item, the better chance you’ll have to earn a token. But items that cost 6,000 tickets or more are guaranteed to come with a token. Toss a token in Zeki’s Claw Machine for a chance to win one of six Li’l Plushes (not a typo, hehe).
Additionally, players can expect many more attractions to keep them coming back, including:
- Maji Market Exclusive Miniquests: Complete more than 8 new miniquests exclusive to the Maji Market that will have you coming back to the market for weeks on end.
- Maji Market Exclusive Nameplate: Save up some tickets and purchase the Maji Market exclusive Nameplate from the Chapaa Tchotchkes popup.
- Night Market Photo Ops: Influence your friends and party-up to snap some pics at all the best photo op locations… you might find a totally normal Human Standee… minding its own business… probably doing big business…
- Chapaa Popsicle Emote: No chapaas were licked in the making of this emote. Equip the new Chapaa Popsicle emote from your Collections menu today!
- Drums, Please!: March to the beat of your own drum and re-discover an explosive surprise.
- Market Discovery: Those that know where to look might stumble upon a few surprises – but make sure to keep that knowledge close to the chest!
Palia’s Autumn Awakening
Fall is in full swing in Palia and we have the foliage to prove it! Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the adventurer’s life and snap some photos with friends at the many leaf piles scattered around Kilima Village before the season changes again later in late November. And the most eagle-eyed players might notice the trees have begun to change color!
But most importantly, the Spooky Moon Shop is back! Everyone’s favorite haunt can be found behind Zeki’s store if you’re in the market for scary-good deals. Purchasable items include:
- Spooky Pumpkin
- Spooky Jaak-O-Lantern
- Spooky Sernuk-O-Lantern
- Spooky Candles
- Spooky Floating Candle
- Spooky Pumpkin Stack
- Spooky Vined Pumpkin
- Spooky Pumpkin Wallpaper
- Spooky Fall Leaves*
- Spooky Leaf Pile*
*These items were originally released as part of last year’s Winterlights Shop, but we felt they would be more at home in the Spooky Moon Shop.
Potato Pod Log-in Rewards
The next batch of Potato Pod log-in rewards have arrived! These tube-ular collectables are a grounded edition for any Palian home!
As always, the only way to receive a Potato Pod is to log-in during the specified timeframe. You’ll need to log-in at least once between 10 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, Oct. 8; and then again between 10 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and 10 a.m. PT on Monday, Oct. 21.
You’ll receive one Potato Pod for each log-in reward period for an opportunity to earn a total of two Potato Pods for the duration of the Autumn Awakening update.

New Features & Updates
Home Plot Decor and Quality-of-Life Improvements
In the last update, the S6 team debuted Home Tours… and WOW! The Palian community is so incredibly talented and creative. We have seen more elaborate, detailed, and drop dead gorgeous home plots than any of the S6 team could have imagined.
And the S6 team wants to further unlock your creativity by making some much requested quality-of-life improvements to the home plot decor experience. While the team is working hard to improve the overall home plot object/decor limit which you can read about in our most recent Dev Blog, the team has already made some meaningful changes to give players more crafting and designs choices, as well as some extra peace of mind, including:
- Removing the individual Building Block object limit. Now Building Blocks are inclusive of the overall 3,000 limit!
- Additional optimizations give players the freedom to increase their home plot Flower limit from 500 to a total of 1,000.
- The team has added a decor/object counter visible in placement mode and from the housing menu to help players keep track of how many objects you’ve placed on your home plot.
- Players can now seamlessly search for specific recipes and items directly from the player’s workbench and storage!
- Alert! Plot owners are now notified when a players joins or leaves their plot, as well as a persistent display of how many visitors are on their plot.
These improvements should help streamline your design process and showcase your creativity for all to enjoy!
And speaking of showcasing your creativity – Palians can now view the reactions of the last Home Tour Event they participated on the Home Tours Board, including each reaction contributing to a total reaction count! Lastly, the team added a new Nameplate tier to celebrate your progress! These “Tier 4” Nameplates are awarded to players who receive an exceptional level of reactions to their home plot. And the Tier 4 Nameplate is only the first of several planned new Nameplates coming to Palia, which will be awarded for all kinds of notable in-game accomplishments and achievements. In the meantime, let’s get crafting, Palians!

New Features & Updates
Home Tours and the Home Tour Store
In the last update, the S6 team shared our metaphorical cozy castle with all you Palians, and now it’s your turn! Pick one of your Housing Plots and submit it to Home Tours. Share your home designs and creations with other Palians and visit other Palians’ homes for new inspiration.
Hosting your Home! Interact with the green Home Tour Board on your housing plot to participate in Home Tours. Each week you can select one of your home plots to submit into the current Home Tours Event. Once you submit, Palians will be able to visit an instanced version of your home plot, where they can see what you’ve designed, provide reactions, and be inspired by your home!
Each Home Tour Event runs for one week and will reset at the end of the weekend.
Note that once you enter one of your home plots into the Housing Tour Event, you cannot select a different plot to enter during that event! So be sure to pick the correct plot when entering.
Visiting others! Access the Home Tour Board menu to see other plots that Palians have entered in the week’s event. Feel free to explore their home and provide an emoji reaction based on what you think!
Tour Tickets & Home Tours Store Each week there will be 2 weekly accomplishments to complete by visiting and emoji-reacting to other plots in Home Tours. These challenges will reward a new currency, called Tour Tickets.
Tour Tickets can be used at the Home Tour Store to redeem new rewards and items. Interact with the green Home Tour Sign to access the Home Tour Store.
The Home Tour Store features brand new rewards including unique nameplates, jukeboxes that play new lo-fi tunes on your plot, and several new wallpaper and floor options. Read on to learn more about the new nameplates and Lo-Fi Jukeboxes!
Head to the Home Tours Store to unlock the following rewards:

Nameplates
Add style to your name with new Nameplate customizations. Nameplates are a new way to add flair to how others view you in the Palian world by adding a background behind your character’s name. You can also see your active Nameplate in the top left corner of the HUD or choose to activate it over your character locally with an option in the Settings Menu.
When other players visit your home plot and provide emoji reactions, you’ll unlock Nameplates themed after the associated emoji. There are three tiers of each Nameplate theme to unlock – the more reactions you accumulate, the higher the tier you’ll unlock! When a Home Tour Event ends, the Nameplate rewards will be distributed to players and the emojis you’ve accumulated will be reset. Emoji reaction options will vary slightly each week with a different option being cycled in to mix things up.
You’ll also be able to unlock certain Nameplates through the Home Tour Store through Tour Tickets.
Change up the music vibe on your plot with new Lo-Fi Jukeboxes
Jukeboxes are another new reward coming to the Home Tour Store! Add new lo-fi beats to your home plot by placing a Jukebox and interacting with it. Each Jukebox has a different song so you can keep mixing up the vibe of your home plot.

Improvements & Adjustments
Updates to Zeki’s Machine
The Spring and Winter Flutterfox Plushes have been added to the loot pool for Zeki’s Wondrous Machine.
An additional Hot Pot table has appeared in the Underground
Zeki and Reth have procured another hotpot table in the Underground so that more Palians can play at once. It’s located next to one of the prize wheels.
Improved Navmesh and Spawning in Kilima and Bahari
We made a number of changes around Kilima and Bahari to improve how hunting creatures and insects spawn and navigate. The key areas we improved are:
- Insects spawned from mining nodes should more reliably spawn on the ground and be catchable
- Hunting creatures are less likely to teleport around
- Hunting creatures are less likely to end up behind cliffs
Please let us know if you experience more issues with the above.
Submit Bundles from Storage
Players no longer need to worry about forgetting that last item back home when trying to complete a bundle at the Night Sky Temple.
When in photo mode, UI elements like flower watering bars will not appear
Photos taken in photo mode already removed these elements, so with this change your preview will be closer to the final picture.
Tish’s “Another Way” Friendship Quest Requirements has been adjusted from a Ruby to an Aquamarine
We’ve let Tish know Tish’s Brew was very difficult to make and she’s adjusted the requirements for this request.
Reduced requirements for “Your Order is Served”
Players will now only need to submit three Petit Fives, Reth is handling the rest.
