In this post, you will find all there is to know about the Software updates for Nine Parchments on Nintendo Switch (originally released on December 5th 2017 in Europe and North America, and December 7th 2017 in Japan).

How to download updates for Nine Parchments for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Nine Parchments, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game’s icon in the Home Menu and press – or + to get to the options screen. The version number is displayed below the title.

• Throwable ice spell that conjures a Icefall in a large area
• Deals 50 Ice damage per falling projectile
• 1 charge
• 18 second charge regeneration time per charge

Piercing Shadow
• A stream of shadow magic which pierces all targets, freezing and inflicting moderate damage
• Uses new element type: Shadow
• Pierces all enemies dealing 20 damage 4 times per second
• After channeling for 1.7 seconds powers up and deals 70 damage for the remainder of the channeling
• 13.2s regeneration time to full mana

Quick Chat

The Eventide Icicle
• No longer gives +5% elemental resistance
• Instead has a 40% chance to freeze melee attacker for 5s

The Copper Rod
• Increased chance to stun target in melee from 10% to 20%

Owl’s Lightning Rod
• Increased Lightning spell charges from 15% to 25%

The Wolfram Rod
• Shorter stun duration from 25% to 50%

Nim’s Enchanted Broom
• Increased chance to deal additional damage from 20% to 50%
• Increased Steam damage from 15 to 30

Nim’s Boreal Broom
• Increased max stack amount from 3 to 30
• Reduced damage per stack from 2 to 1
• Reduced duration from 10 seconds to 3 seconds

The Staff of Quackening
• Chance that Blink regenerates itself increased from 15% to 20%

  • Release date: March 16th 2018 (worldwide)
  • Patch notes:
  • A few changes to save slot menu
  • Fixed an issue with Everbloom that caused the game to crash
  • Fixed some dialog lines not playing properly
  • Fixed an issue when players could get disconnected when loading into Astral Academy
  • Various battle config fixes in the last few levels (in some cases the battle would not trigger or enemies could spawn off the battle-area)
  • New Icon
  • Support for video capture enabled

Nine Parchments – Ver. 1.0.1

Multiple saves are now added

After the patch you can have up to ten games stored at the same time. So there is no need to overwrite your current run if you want to play with your friends for a while.

Other fixes

• Online game can be started alone, no need to wait for others to join in the lobby
• A lot of bug fixes to different kinds of issues of camera not moving and enemies not spawning or dying correctly
• Changes to the online matchmaking logic
• Fix to the ”The Hero of Trine” Amadeus not unlocking if Amadeus dead when the boss is defeated
• Other minor fixes
