Ys X -Proud NORDICS- to launch on Switch 2 on July 31st in Japan
During the Nintendo Direct 2, earlier this month, Nihon Falcom announced that the launch platform for Ys X -Proud NORDICS- would be the Nintendo Switch 2. And today, the company announced that the game will release on July 31st in Japan (with worldwide release no doubt coming in the following months).
Ys X -Proud NORDICS- will be available at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for 8,580 Yen. Players who buy the game at launch will be able to get their hands on a Soundtrack CD as early purchase bonus. It contains the music from the additional content added to this version of the game.
Ys X -Proud NORDICS- is an expanded port of Ys X: Nordics featuring some brand new content, including:
- new Mana Action: Mana Hold, which allows you to lift items and move or throw them around. Can be used both in battles and to solve puzzles in dungeons;
- a brand new island: Aland, with vast areas to explore at will;
- new bosses;
- Mana Races: compete against other characters in Mana Races across Aland;
- Arena Battles with deadly enemies to battle;
- a brand new, high-difficulty dungeon. It features various restrictions (such as limited time for activities, various gimmicks, and powerful enemies), but you can use a rare item to ease those restrictions.
- various other challenging elements;
- a Golden Symbol will be hidden somewhere at sea: find it to trigger a naval battle. Claim victory, and you will get an item that increase the sailing speed of your boat.
