There’s a Gun in the Office to stress the hell out of Switch players early next month

Take IT Studio! has announced its latest port for the Nintendo Switch: There’s a Gun in the Office, a “horror stress” simulator (originally developed by Maciej Dyjas).

In this game, you play as a victim who has been kidnapped, and has but 5 days to escape from a locked apartment. The twist? You have to do so without your captor finding out about your attempts, which implies putting back everything where you found it before each day ends!

There’s a Gun in the Office will launch on May 5th in Europe and North America, with Asia getting it a few days later on May 8th.

Here’s a trailer for the PC version:

And here’s some details about the game:

You’ve been kidnapped. Locked in an apartment with no food, no help — and time is running out.

Your captors come back every day, and if they notice that you’ve moved or touched something, it could mean the end. You have just five days — Monday to Friday — to plan and carry out your escape.

Every move counts. Every detail matters. Can you outsmart your kidnappers before time runs out… or will you remain a prisoner forever?

A Single Location, Packed With Tension

Set mainly in one apartment, the game creates pressure through silence, detail, and the constant threat of discovery.

Hide Every Trace of Your Actions

Investigate freely — but leave no evidence behind. Anything you touch must be returned to its place before the day ends.

Minimal Controls, Maximum Stakes

No weapons. No combat. Just strategy, observation, and survival instinct.

Open-Ended Puzzle Solving

You decide how and when to act. The game offers multiple solutions — and no hand-holding.

This is not a horror game in the traditional sense — it’s a psychological test of memory, planning, and subtle deduction. With no dialogue, no combat, and no distractions, the game focuses on the quiet intensity of trying to escape when everything is against you.

If you’re looking for something different — something slow-burning, immersive, and deeply human — this title delivers a uniquely powerful experience.

There’s a Gun in the Office (Switch – eShop) comes out on May 5th in Europe and North America, and May 8th in Asia.
