[Update] The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD to have motion controls?

Update

Nintendo has updated the page, and removed the Wii Remote + Nunchuk icon.

***The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HDThe Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is one of the games revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, earlier this month. Unfortunately, Nintendo didn’t say a lot about the game itself, other than it would have improved graphics and amiibo support. We don’t know if the developers made any (significant) changes to the game, for example.

It’s also unclear which control schemes the game will support. The footage shown during the Nintendo Direct clearly shows a HUD for the GamePad (with the ABXY buttons), and the world isn’t flipped. This implies the game is based on the GameCube version, meaning motion controls might not be supported.

However, the official website for Nintendo in Sweden reveals that the game will be compatible with motion controls. That being said, the page doesn’t mention GamePad controls (even though the footage from the Nintendo Direct clearly shows the GamePad will be used, which is rather strange.

Is that a mistake? Will this HD remaster be playable with both control schemes? Will Nintendo let players chose if the world is flipped (or will this be kept for an eventual Hero Mode)? Unfortunately, we will have to wait for Nintendo to reveal more details about the game in order to get a confirmation.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U) will be released on March 4th in Europe and North America, and March 10th in Japan.
