The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – Ask the Developer interview, more videos (Yoiko, Nakamura Challenge), additional details

Ahead of the highly-awaited release of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom this Thursday (September 26th), Nintendo has shared an Ask the Developer interview about it. This Iwata Asks-style interview shines a light on the development of the first brand-new top-down Zelda game, sharing some juicy tidbits and other behind-the-scenes details.

It features the following people:

  • Eiji Aonuma (Producer – Senior Officer, Entertainment Planning & Development Division)
  • Tomomi Sano (Director – Entertainment Planning & Development Department, Production Group No. 3)
  • Satoshi Terada (Director – Grezzo)

As usual, the interview is made of several chapters. Here’s those available as of writing:

Also, Nintendo has shared two more videos for the game. The first one is the latest episode of their Yoiko webshow. It’s made of two parts, with the second one set to go live on September 25th at 5PM JST / 10AM CEST / 9AM BST / 4AM ET / 1AM PT.

Update: Part 2 is now live!

The second video is the latest Nakamura Challenge episode, featuring Yuichi Nakamura (a popular and highly prolific voice actor you’ve definitely heard at least once if you regularly watch anime). Just like the Yoiko webshow, it’s made of two parts, with the second one to go live on September 25th at 5PM JST / 10AM CEST / 9AM BST / 4AM ET / 1AM PT.

Update: Part 2 is now live!

Finally, Nintendo has shared some additional details about the game, and more precisely Wanted Posters.

For some reason, Princess Zelda is suspected of being responsible for the Rifts that suddenly appeared all across Hyrule, and so she becomes a wanted suspect. You can find Wanted Posters as you explore Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (Switch) comes out on September 26th worldwide.
