The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-: digital pre-orders now live (with digital short novel), demo version coming soon
XSEED has made a few announcements regarding the upcoming release of The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- (out next month worldwide). First up: digital pre-orders are now live on Nintendo Switch.
Two editions are available:

Also, the company announced that all pre-orders will include an exclusive digital short novel: “Former Lives of the SDU: File 03 – Hiruko Shizuhara’s First Battle,” which details Hiruko Shizuhara’s life in the Tokyo Residential Complex before the events of the game.
Also, for those of you waiting for the Nintendo Switch demo of the game (released last month on PC), the press release reveals that it’s “coming soon.”
Additionally, a demo of The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- will be available on the Nintendo Switch system soon. This “Prologue” demo will allow players to experience the first seven days at Last Defense Academy. Demo progress can then be transferred to the full game on release.
Finally, here’s some additional details about the game:
Takumi Sumino is a totally average teenager living in the Tokyo Residential Complex, a place where every day is much like the last and nothing bad ever happens. All that changes when freakish monsters attack the town and start wreaking havoc. A strange creature calling itself Sirei appears and offers Takumi the power to protect those he holds dear… All he has to do is stab himself in the chest!
The next thing he knows, Takumi is in Last Defense Academy, a colossal school in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a wall of otherworldly flames. He and 14 other students have been drafted into the Special Defense Unit, a team tasked with keeping the school safe for the next 100 days. Initiated students transform their blood into the mysterious Hemoanima, a unique type of mutated blood which provides supernatural abilities. How much are they willing to sacrifice to take back their normal lives and save the world from the grotesque school invaders? The curtain rises on 100 days of war and despair…
The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- (Switch) comes out on April 24th worldwide.
