Switch milestones: Fate/Samurai Remnant / Dredge / Suika Game / Fantasy Tavern Sextet series

Fate/Samurai Remnant

Koei-Tecmo has announced that total shipments for Fate/Samurai Remnant have reached 300,000 units during its first week. That number includes retail shipments + digital sales across all platforms, worldwide.

Dredge

Black Salt Games has announced that Dredge has sold over 1 million units across all platforms and regions since launch (back in March 2023). This is a fantastic result that far surpasses the developers’ expectations: they were hoping to sell “only” 100 000 units during the first year, and that’s what they ended up selling in just 24 hours!

Suika Game

Aladdin X has announced that Suika Game, an addicting puzzle game featuring cute, colourful fruits, has sold over 1 million units on the Nintendo eShop, in Japan (as of writing, it’s not available anywhere).

The game was originally released nearly two years ago (in December 2021), and its launch went largely unnoticed. Indeed, simply by looking at the Nintendo eShop page, one would be hard pressed to think this was anything other than the cheap port of some uninspired mobile game (which the game definitely isn’t!).

This all changed a few weeks ago when the game suddenly went viral, with many popular streamers (including Vtubers) picking up the game. The game and its highly addicting gameplay seduced even Ado, the popular singer behind the theme song One Piece: Film Red.

Its popularity exploded so suddenly that, despite not charting in August, Suika Game jumped straight to the #1 rank in the Top 20 for the Nintendo eShop in September. And be careful: clones have already started popping up on mobile platforms, with unscrupulous companies taking advantage of the popularity of Suika Game to trick unsuspecting players.
