Super Smash Bros. (Wii U / 3DS) : Mewtwo DLC now available worldwide (Club Nintendo), contents, expiration dates

Earlier this morning, Nintendo released the update 1.0.6. for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS (click here for the full changelog!). It adds the ability to purchase additional content (the first batch of Mii Fighters costumes already available for purchase/download), and itt’s also required to download Mewtwo, available starting today for people with a download code. If you don’t have a code, it will be available for purchase on April 28th.

The download codes for Mewtwo have now been sent worldwide, and you can use it on the Nintendo eShop (Wii U) or the in-game shop (Nintendo 3DS) to get Mewtwo. The download is really small (64ko on Wii U, 2 blocks on Nintendo 3DS), because all the data was already included in the Software update ver. 1.0.6..

Here’s what you get when you download the Mewtwo DLC:

– Mewtwo (obviously!)
– new trophies (one is unlocked automatically, the others need to be unlocked by completing Classic and All-Stars mode with Mewtwo);
– profile icon.

However, please note that you have to use your download code before the expiration date, which isn’t the same in all regions:

– Europe: May 31st (11.59PM CET)
– Japan: September 30th
– North America: July 31st
