Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission: western release confirmed

A few months ago, it was found that Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission (the latest entry in the Dragon Ball Heroes series, based on an Arcade card game of the same name) was headed to Europe and North America, thanks to a rating on the Australian Classification Board. And yesterday, during the Dragon Ball Games – Super Showcase livestream, Bandai-Namco finally made it official: yes, the game is indeed releasing outside of Japan!

Even better: western fans will not have to wait very long, since Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission will be released in Europe and North America on April 5th… exactly one day after Japan! Therefore, it’s pretty safe to assume that the Japanese version will include an English language option.

Here’s the English version of the debut trailer for Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission:

And here’s some details about the game:

SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION takes place in Hero Town, an alternate reality where a Dragon Ball card game is the most popular form of entertainment. Players take on the role of Beat, the protagonist of SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION, and follow his journey to become the world champion of Super Dragon Ball Heroes. However, when the villains from the virtual game world appear in Hero Town and start wreaking havoc, Beat jumps into the game world and teams up with famous Dragon Ball characters to restore peace in the real world.

SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION is a card battle game featuring fighters from across all the Dragon Ball universes, transformations never before seen, and a brand new character designed by Toyotarou, the creator of Dragon Ball Super manga.

Finally, here’s the recording of the Dragon Ball Games – Super Showcase, for those of you who missed it:
