• adds a new difficulty mode: Story
  • In the “Story” mode update, Strayed Lights instead turns its attention to the dreamlike world that Embers has put together. With enemy encounters greatly pacified and bosses more serene, players seeking to explore the unique world and story of Strayed Lights at their own pace now have the option.
• adds a new difficulty mode: Challenge
  • Under Challenge mode, players are put to the test with an all-new hard difficulty mode, drawing comparisons between the game and its souls-like inspirations, such as the parry-based reactive combat of Sekiro – a central influence to Strayed Lights. .

• adds a new game mode, Trials
  • In the “Trials” update, players will be challenged to take on the myriad of powerful bosses in Strayed Lights at heightened difficulty without dying.
• adds a new game mode, Memories
  • With “Memories,” players can confront any previously defeated boss, both in their original difficulty and new, unleashed forms. Now possessed of otherworldly strength, the bosses of Strayed Lights are equipped with never-before-seen attacks and animations that will push the limits of the game’s intense and fluid parry-based combat.

How to download updates for Strayed Lights for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Strayed Lights, you have three options:

• let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

• try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

• select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
