Shin Megami Tensei IV Final: several returning characters, save data transfer

This week, Famitsu magazine has an article about Shin Megami Tensei IV Final, with more details about the game. This includes Isabeau, a character which originally appeared in Shin Megami Tensei IV. But it turns out she will not be the only returning character in Shin Megami Tensei IV Final.

Indeed, details from Famitsu magazine have already started to leak, and the following characters are confirmed:

• Flynn (voiced by Yuuki Kaji): he is seen as the Savior/Messiah after overthrowing Demons and Angels;
• Jonathan (voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya): he is entirely devoted to Merkabah, and will do whatever he can to “purify” the world;
• Walter (voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi): in the original game, he sacrificed himself in order to give Lucifer a physical body. He retains some of his memories, and occasionally returns to his human form.
• Isabeau (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro): Flynn has apparently fallen into the hands of the Association of Gods, and she will work with the protagonist (as a partner character) in order to save him.

Two characters from the Association of Gods are also revealed:

• Miroku (voiced by Michiko Kaiden)
• Odin (voiced by Atsushi Miyauchi)

Finally, we learn that players who already own Shin Megami Tensei IV will be able to get some bonus items / pieces of equipment if they transfer their save data to Shin Megami Tensei IV Final. Unfortunately, we don’t know what the items or pieces of equipments are for now.

Shin Megami Tensei IV Final (3DS) comes out on February 10th in Japan.
