RIVE delayed to 2016, new screenshots

December is already shaping up to be a great month for indie games on the Nintendo eShop. SteamWorld Heist is coming out on December 10th, FAST Racing Neo is out on the same day, and RIVE… not this year, unfortunately. Earlier today, TwoTribes announced that their intense, robot-hacking, twin-stick shooter was delayed to 2016.

RIVEIn a blog post, Two Tribes explain that this delay is due to a very simple reason… the game is not ready yet. Last year, they moved to a three-man team (due to financial difficulties), which means they now have to do everything sequentially. Unfortunately, that means things like making trailers or attending conventions slows down or even halts development altogether.

But Two Tribes didn’t simply talk about the delay on their blog, they also shared some new  screenshots for the game. The first one shows a boss, which is encountered two missions in the game, along with the brand new HUD. The second one shows the HUD from the hack mode. Finally, the third screenshot shows one of the conversation with Daryll Lloyd-Lancaster, the AI of the ship you’re exploring.

Here’s the screenshots (warning: they are quite big!):

RIVE (Wii U eShop) comes out next year in Europe and North America.
