Excitebike is definitely one of the most famous NES games that ever came out on the platform, though unlike other Nintendo franchises, it was pretty much neglected during the years that followed its release. It only got one actual sequel (on the Nintendo 64), as well as two spiritual successors on Wii and a remake on WiiWare.
