Rayman arrange album (by original composer) now on Kickstarter

Update: added video message, to be found below!

***

Rémi Gazel is the one who composed the soundtrack for the very first Rayman game. If you like his work, you will be glad to learn he has launched a Kickstarter for a Rayman arrange album, featuring Jazz/Rock/Electro/Symphonic arrangements. The best part? He actually got the greenlight from Ubisoft, via a licencing agreement. In other words: no risk of the whole project being canceled due to Ubisoft’s lawyers.

Rémi Gazel needs at least 50 000€ to make this project a reality, and as of writing, 9 029€ have already been pledged. With 50 000€, the album will include Jazz / Rock arrangements of the following 12 tracks:

  • Pink Plant Woods – Dream forest
  • Blazing Brass – Mr Sax
  • Eat at Joe’s – Lurking in the Darkness
  • Entering the Cavern – Crystal Palace
  • Moskito – Hold on tight
  • Mr Skops – Never wake a sleeping scorpion
  • Candy Chateau – Creepy Clowns
  • The Magician Challenge – The Wizard
  • Cloak of Darkness – Mr Dark
  • Once More – Continue / Replay Theme
  • Partie at Joe’s – Credits Theme
  • End of the Line – Game Over Theme

Here’s some excerpts of live recordings:

With 115 000€, the Pixelophonia Orchestra will join the project, with at least 7 new tracks (this time featuring orchestral arrangements). And with 140 000€, it’s 6 electro arrangements that will be added to the project.

Finally, here’s a video message for the project:
