• Patch notes:

• Main game
  • Fixed an issue that caused transported passengers to not be counted in scenarios.
  • Fixed an issue that caused that a mass replacement option of locomotives (‘replace engines older than X years’) to not be applied when selected.
  • Fixed a graphical glitch on train stations.

• Railway Empire – Great Britain DLC
  • Fixed a bug that prevented unlocking a region in the Great Britain scenario despite meeting all the requirements.

• Railway Empire – Japan DLC
  • Fixed several minor issues with areas being blocked, although there were no visual restrictions.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the passenger feature to be unlocked too early in the ‘Rising Sun’ scenario.

• Base-Game
  • Added tree colours which reflect the change of seasons (blossom).
  • Fixed a bug, where sometimes tracks were not connected properly when creating a junction.
  • Tracks without an owner no longer belong to the player when loading a savegame.

• Railway Empire – Down Under – DLC
  • Added Adelaide as an inactive settlement to free mode.

• Patch notes:

• Fixed: border of fog wasn‘t displaying correctly on some maps
• Fixed: unnecessary line break was causing text to occasionally display incorrectly in the task window
• Improved: readability of scenario information when playing in handheld mode
• Fixed: various small issues with GUI (popups, button mapping)
• Fixed: random crash in starting tutorial
• Fixed: thunderstorms were causing graphical issues so removed these effects for better stablity

How to download updates for Railway Empire – Nintendo Switch Edition for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Railway Empire – Nintendo Switch Edition, you have three options:

• let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

• try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

• select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
