Pokkén Tournament: Gengar revealed, new arena, stage show recording
Today, Pokkén Tournament was showcased during a stage show at NicoNico Chokaigi 2015.
Unfortunately, not much was revealed during the presentation, even though we did get one major announcement: Gengar is joining the list of playable fighters! Actually, it’s the Pokémon that was chosen by fans on Twitter, when Bandai-Namco ran a special campaign asking them to vote for the Pokémon they’d like to see in the game.
Of course, its Mega-Evolution will be in the Pokkén Tournament, and should work the same way as the other Pokémon than can Mega-Evolve (like Lucario for example). Unfortunately, all we got for Gengar was a rather short trailer, as it wasn’t featured during the gameplay showcase.
Here’s its trailer:
Here’s some screencaps for Gengar:
During the presentation, we also got a great look at some of the arenas, including a brand new one taking place in a town. From the looks of it, the stages are quite detailed, with trainers and Pokémon in the background.
