Here’s the latest promo video for the Pokémon Detective Pikachu movie, featuring some brand new footage:

Pokémon Detective Pikachu comes out on May 3rd in Japan, and May 10th in several countries around the world.

Pokémon GO

Niantic have announced that both Giratina Formes are coming back to Pokémon GO, which is great news for players who missed them the first time around (or those who want to catch them again!).

Here’s when both Formes will be available:

  • Altered Forme
    • Starts: March 28th at 1PM PT / 4PM ET / 8PM GMT / 9PM CET – March 29th at 5AM JST
    • Ends: April 2nd at 1PM / 4PM ET / 9PM BST / 10PM CEST – April 3rd at 3AM JST
  • Origin Forme:
    • Starts: April 2nd at 1PM / 4PM ET / 9PM BST / 10PM CEST – April 3rd at 3AM JST
    • Ends: April 29th at 1PM / 4PM ET / 9PM BST / 10PM CEST – April 30th at 3AM JST

Pokémon Japan Championships 2019

The Pokémon Company has shared details about the Pokémon Japan Championships 2019, which will take place on June 8th (qualifiers) and June 9th (main events) at the Makuhari Messe, in Chiba City. It will allow participants to try and earn an invite to the Pokémon World Championships.

  • VGC competition: VGC 2019 rules, Ultra Series. Entry only possible via the latest Battle Competition for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (only open to players in Japan);
  • TGC: event allows players to earn points to get an invite to the Pokémon World Championships (winner alone gets 600 Points);
  • Pokkén Tournament DX: qualifier, with Double Elimination matches. Team battles. Player cap: 32 players in Seniors category, and 128 players in Masters.

Today, the latest Official Group Match for Pokkén Tournament DX went live. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Name: Searing Blaze Cup
  • Type: Team Battle, Fixed Battle Arena
  • Runs from March 22nd to March 24th
  • Time: 3AM PT to 7PM PT / 6AM ET to 10PM ET / 5AM GMT to 9PM GMT / 6AM CET to 10AM CET / 6AM JST to 10PM JST
  • Participation prize: Searing Blaze (title)
  • Ranking Prizes:
  1. Places 1 to 10 – Chrom League Master
  2. Places 11 to 30 – Red League Master
  3. Places 31 to 60 – Blue League Master
